I was a person who used to love to work. Then I started working crazy hours because of crazy project for almost a year. Felt burnt out and depressed. Took some time off (3 months) to calibrate myself. Now back at work but still feel so demotivated and cant help but feel work as a burden. Anyone feel the same?

Has anyone taken some time off without another job lined up? 1.5 years in and not sure if I even want to stay in law anymore, would quitting make it that that much harder to come back? Id want some time to really figure out what to do next, so I’d rather not lateral and ramp up at another law firm immediately.

Is anyone looking to hire someone for remote work immediately? I’ll take anything. I work for a parish government and it’s sooooo hard to accrue time off. I’m an extremely hard worker. I just never have time for dentist appointments, doctor appointments, or even personal things like exercise because I spend all my time commuting and in a physical office. I know it’s a couple of weeks but my husband and I are hosting my mom for Christmas and I’ll be 25 weeks. I love cooking so I am thinking this will be my last big holiday before the baby I can cook for. I usually do a beef Wellington but don’t like steak cooked to the 145 that my Dr wants. Is anyone a Complex Claim Director (Excess Insurance)? I have been offered a 100% remote role, so I dont think regional pay differences apply. I'm interested in what AIG pay for this role, including PTO.

When is it worth it to take a pay cut? Received an offer from a startup today, the salary they are offering me is 30% below my current salary - offered them my range during the interview but they stuck to their initial salary when they sent me the offer. No 401k, no WFH, but they have unlimited PTO. They are also offering me 10k shares of common stock (25% vested 1 year after the date vesting begins and the remaining on a monthly basis over the next 3 years). How does this translate to $ amount?

Hi! I need some help negotiating a raise. I have been working for this company for exactly 3 months now, but I was hired as an AGM. I'm not specific on what my responsibilities are as AGM.
However the GM at the time, quit 1 and a half months in. I was thrown into the role and have been handling it since.
My regional calls himself our GM but is never on site.
Was reluctant to cover my shifts when I became sick and requested time off for a few days. (4 days)

Need advice on how to cope with a first mistake at work. I was recently diagnosed with a gut disease and spent Monday night throwing up, but I do not get PTO at all at my job (contract employee). So I went to work tired, did a once over of a report I submit weekly, reviewed it w/ peers, before moving on.
