I have 8 years of accounting experience, the first 5 in public accounting. Last year I got a promotion from senior to manager. I was extremely disappointed with my raise last year, I went from 90k to 100k. I expressed that disappointment at the time I was told, but I sucked it up.

Today I was given my 2021 salary. I got a 50% raise to 150k. I am over the moon. I basically the Controller now, finally paid what I want to make.

I received offer letter from TCS Jan 2021, as offer amount was less so I tried for another company and requested tcs to match the amount before 15 days from lwd.

TCS replied just 2-3 days before led that, need to check with leadership team and as this statement looks dicey for me so I didn't join tcs.

In near future TCS will give chance to appear for an interview and will get selected considering above case.

Assuming everything else equal, do bonuses in big 4 actually significantly differ for 2 employees in the same office/same charge hours where one is rated poorly and one is rated highly?

Any news on EB1c premium processing rule being implemented by USCIS soon? Seems like the law was passed in Sept 2020 to expand premium processing to EB1c but USCIS has still not enacted it. What firms give you a partial bonus even if you don’t hit the hours threshold? At my V10, I understand that 1899 hours gets no bonus when the threshold is 1900, but I have heard that this is not the case at other firms (!). Indeed, even a friend who billed 1,400 last year got a 40% of market bonus from his V50. Haven’t seen this anywhere and think it’s a highly relevant point when choosing a firm.

Freaking out here! 33 and hoping to freeze my eggs in a month. Now 10 months ago I was on hormonal bc, did a modern fertility test and my AMH came back 1.67, 4 months ago, had my blood drawn (for the freezing cycle), it was 1.07. Started taking D3 and since Jan, just did another modern fertility one, it was 0.62! What does this mean? How can my ovarian reserve be dropping so fast all of a sudden? What are banks paying these days for manager level hires? I know the title is inflated at banks, but seems like some banks are reaching out to me about some of these manager roles.

My limited understanding is compensation ranges from 80,000 - 120,000 for these roles depending on department and your relevant experiences, but wanted to be sure I don't get lowballed.
