To the folks that don’t want to get the vaccine, what is your reason? This seems like a strange hill to die on considering people losing their livelihood over this

Pregnant and got vaxxed before getting pregnant so I'm in a lucky boat. I've heard from several pregant people that they are not getting it and leaving their jobs because there are no long term studies available yet (such as baby boys and myocarditis), especially those that have been on a long journey to get pregnant or having rainbow babies. I'm torn over the booster myself, but obviously I want to do what's best for my child so I'm in communication with my doctor. While there is a lot of information out there, it's very difficult to navigate what's right and what's political at times.

Because A. They will KEEP moving the goalposts and changing the definition of “vaccinated” - as they have in Israel and what the CDC said last week B. Because I had COVID & recovered. C. I don’t buy the “you have to protect the protected from the unprotected because the protection didn’t work.” D. The odds of death are soo low in my age group - why bother? E. Some of my coaching clients have seen huge increases in CRP which is a concern for someone young who works out. But - I am vaccinated as I had to get it to keep food on the table.

I just don’t want one. Don’t appreciate coercion.

Deloitte 1 just shut everyone here up

I had covid earlier this year (before vaccines were available). There’s increasing evidence that I am better protected than people who have only been vaccinated. And don’t @ me about needing to get a shot to get “superhuman” immunity or whatever the headlines are now saying.

likeupliftingsmartfunny

We’re being lied to about vaccination being the only answer because corporate influence rules social media and thus global human psychology. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/09/15/natural-immunity-vaccine-mandate/ Our corporate leaders are selling out a minority of their workforce in order to ingratiate themselves to the political and social mainstream. We still don’t know where the disease came from and what will happen to it in the next 5 years even with near perfect vaccination rates. I don’t consent to any of this.

One reason is recourse in the event of a vaccine injury. Pharmacy companies can’t be held liable. If EY can be held liability then I’ll consider taking it. And before folks chime in with “this is completely safe”, the VAERS data says otherwise. It doesn’t matter how rare the adverse reactions are, this is clearly not a “one size fits all approach”

likesmartfunny

From the VAERS website: "When evaluating data from VAERS, it is important to note that for any reported event, no cause-and-effect relationship has been established. Reports of all possible associations between vaccines and adverse events (possible side effects) are filed in VAERS. Therefore, VAERS collects data on any adverse event following vaccination, be it coincidental or truly caused by a vaccine. The report of an adverse event to VAERS is not documentation that a vaccine caused the event." https://vaers.hhs.gov/data/dataguide.html

Finally the phrase “A strange hill to die on” used in the most literal way possible

I just spoke to a doctor who told me a bunch of women were complaining to him about constant spotting and very irregular cycles since they got the vaccine.

That is exactly my point. I even said they don't prove nothing. Only big amounts of data are relevant, but was just showing you how anyone can have an anegdote that is the opposite stance (bad reactions vs no reactions) and in the grand scheme of things both mean nothing. It wasn't that difficult to comprehend

I don't trust the government or big pharma, both untrustworthy institutions.

like

Are you a Christian Scientist? Also, you don't trust "the government", really? What does that even mean? "The government" is a lot more involved in people's lives than people seem to realize. The reason buildings aren't collapsing is because they have to meet government imposed building codes, and "the government" inspects the buildings. The reason you can feel comfortable filling up at a gas station is because "the government" tests not only the gasoline, but also the measurements. The reason you can feel relatively comfortable that your car's airbag will deploy when necessary is because "the government" imposes rules and tests that vehicles meet those rules. The reason planes aren't crashing into each other in the sky is because "the government" controls air traffic. Of course, nothing is perfect, and I certainly have complaints and issues with how the government does things at times (such as the 737 max issue), but to say you "don't trust the government" is just such a bizarre claim unless you live in a cabin in Montana without utilities and are living off the land.

I will never understand this either. We needed vaccines to go to school. We need some to travel to certain countries. In some professions you need a vaccine to work there (healthcare). And yet this is odd? It's a tested vaccine that's proven to work. And because of the lack of vaccinatwd people we cannot have herd immunity. My dad is in chemo right now, even though he is vaccinated his immune system is shot from the chemo. Work for him is very difficult as people don't take the virus seriously. He has to argue constantly with people to even put a mask on and keep away from everyone. This is the reality for so many immune compromised people or those allergic to the vaccine, high risk groups and so forth. And yet others choose not to get the vaccine cus they think they're smarter than doctors. Horrible

Emergency use authorization booster for the emergency use authorization vaccine. No thanks! Get active, eat clean, and turn off the media, social media too if you’re unable to think clearly…would start there, and get outdoors in the sun as often as possible. Stock up on therapeutics (plenty of info online, do your research). Provides diversification as a lot of information lately on the ineffectiveness of the vaccines as well..have to dig as most gets suppressed/canceled/censored. Again do your own research. The truth is somewhere between both sides of the debate. Hope for all the best.

Because the experts don’t publicly recognize well defined risk profiles for disease, low hanging fruits for combating disease (vitamins, diet, weight loss), or natural immunity. Why turn society upside down to reach an increasingly meaningless %?

You can’t ask logical questions to people like this. It’s all about 5 jabs and getting kids in it now. At one point they said 70% would be good enough. Now it’s 99% + kids

I'm not a mom yet (don't kick me out of the group!) but have been going through fertility and IVF treatments for more than 6 months. I'm constantly having bloodwork, appointments and calls with the doc during working hours. Any advice on what I can and should tell my team about my health? They can tell I'm in and out of the doctor's office and I suspect they think I'm pregnant. Maybe it's being chock-full of hormone pills, but I'm sensitive about everyone thinking I'm pregnant when I'm not.

I never thought being a mom would be this difficult. I am working full time, have an infant who wakes up every 3-4h and doesn't fall back asleep unless held in arms, am breastfeeding for medical reasons, and feel resentful and beyond tired all the time. I hate the fact that my body is so different to how it was before, that I don't have a sense of self any more, that I can't disconnect and take a break (and this is likely to not change for years to come). Is this normal or unfit to be a mom?

I’m considering taking out a mortgage for a 500k 2BD-2BA condo in Arlington, VA. I have 130k in my savings account. Is it worth putting down 20% for the mortgage to avoid PMI or should I put down less? Monthly cost for the mortgage payment, taxes, insurance, HOA fees, etc is estimated to be about 3000 a month. I will have a roommate to cover half the monthly expenses.

I’m curious: At what number of booster shots too much for you? (I’m not sure about country differences but for example: UK 3 shots is now vaccinated and Israel is going from 3 to 4 shortly) I say this not because I think the vaccine is bad (stops severe disease) but I remember quite clearly the messaging was you take the two, you won’t get or spread COVID and therefore life goes back to normal. Now this clearly isn’t the case have you changed your stance?

Has anyone taken Wellbutrin and experienced side effects? I’m 3 weeks into trying it out, and it’s worked better and faster than my prior antidepressants. But this week I’ve started experiencing pretty nasty dizziness/vertigo, which came on suddenly Monday morning. I don’t know if it’s just the latest physical symptom of burnout (which has been making me sick a lot lately) or if I’m experiencing some kind of side effect from the new meds.
