interviewing with a recruiter (non-PA) for an accountant role. What are some good questions to ask to get a clear and better understanding of what the role will exactly do?

I had applied for analyst role.Since last one month the status for the application is "Your application has been progressed to shortlist stage and is now being reviewed by the Hiring Manager".Kindly clarify as there has been no update since then or does it mean they have already rejected. If not do I need to do anything from my side. Please help out guys.

I applied for and was screened by HR for a Director position. It wasn't a good fit but I was passed over to another VP. I had a phone interview with that VP which went very well. He expressed interest in creating a Director level role for me based on my experience and interests. I received feedback via a 3rd-party recruiter that the company is in the process of creating a req. and will bring me on-site for another interview. Problem: They changed the level to Principal Eng. What should I do?

Anyone get a verbal offer where the hiring manager tells you they will be sending a formal offer letter, but be patient. No details on compensation, benefits, PTO, etc shared at all. It’s been a week and I’m still waiting. Not sure if this is an ominous sign.

I have a counter offer for 14.. and now got selected in Infosys and during hr round i said i have offer of 14 and expecting 17 fixed... But hr immediately told they can give only 15Lpa and 15VP in that 15L... I said atleast 17 including VP will be ok for me they said they will request for approval and get back to me on Monday but they didn't come back till now 5th April... Will infy come with change in the package..

I am from a lower middle class family. Completed BTech in 2018 and entered IT world in 2019. After much struggle, reached 14.5 lpa and earning 1L take home per month which is still a very big thing for me. My mom always wanted me to have a own house, so I bought a flat in Hyderabad.
