This is quite the exit op discussion!

funny

Haha, hey I exited from consulting to start a life, this is the exit to life. Need to calm down :) and I think so many consultants have had failed marriages because of work and just generally high break up rate, so I’d though some good perspective would come about :)

Ok - as I write this, I realize it may be read and understood differently, but I’m going to take a shot at it, at the risk of getting flak. Apologies in advance, no disrespect intended towards anyone.
There are two types of people, one that satisfies the soul and the second that brings stability to your life. There are tremendous possibilities down either path, not necessarily any negatives in one or the other. If you find THE ONE that does both - your life knows no limits - grab the person and never let go.
In my opinion, that is what you have to figure out. The other thing to do, to understand the longer term implications of what your chosen one will become, eventually, is to get to know their mothers (assuming your prospects are female). If you like who they are, you’ll probably get along fine with your partner.
Good luck.

Thank you, Sir - definitely see the value in with both perspectives. Really appreciate the response.

Hi - I currently work in marketing, account-side, and have for the past few years. The area I enjoy most (and am best at) is in the project management area - keeping people on top of deliverables, routing projects/feedback to creative vs client etc. Is this a role I could potentially pivot to? Tbh I’m not sure what “project manager” even entails, as I’m sure it’s not just marketing-related. Would love to know more about what daily tasks entail. Any insight would be helpful!
