More money in my paycheck and less hours worked. Why are you asking this question when you already know the answer and can't possibly provide what we want?

No busy season

Huh?

A big factor is the people I work with. Mainly the bosses and my colleagues. If the firm’s and the values of the people around me are aligned with mine it will make me stay even if it pays less. If it gives me something to look forward to everyday. Also, if my efforts and rewards are directionally proportional.

But a little pay bump or more benefits wouldn’t hurt. 😉

Mentorship and better training would be nice

Hey everyone, looking for some advice. I’ve been working as a RC for a tech company for 15 months making 45k (I know I’m underpaid) and I’m looking to pivot. I feel really burnt out in this role and would love to transition to something else, perhaps another department. I don’t really want to be in an entry level role again, so what kinds of jobs should I be looking at where I can transfer over my skills easily? I also have customer service experience but would love to stay away from that. TIA!

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Anything in finance more challenging/less box-checking? People have recommended public but I’m not interested in audit/tax or travel.

Im currently an S2 and work in accounting advisory with focus on IPO/SPAC transactions and certain technical accounting areas such as stock comp and financial instruments. What would be the best way to position myself to transition to an FP&A role?
