My new employer is gonna pay 100% of the premium for the employee(I am single - no husband/kids) for medical, dental and vision. They are providing 2 options:
1. BCBS TX PPO $750 Ded
2. BCBS TX HDHP HSA $2800 (High deductible plan)
I am interested in opening an HSA account for tax benefits but not sure how much it will be taken from my paycheck as the salary here is pretty low. I also will be contributing to 401k by myself. Can someone please guide me on this?

Really, really sick of this Presidency. I can't even concentrate after the DACA announcement. As if it wasn't already bad enough. Does anyone else have family that could be affected? Incredibly sad.

I have been having a healthy pregnancy but going into my third trimester I’ve started to worry more about the health and happiness of my baby. My husband is in his mid-40s, I’m ten years younger, and I’ve read more about that being linked to autism and schizophrenia. I know this is not something I can control but I can’t stop reading about it. Wondering if others have gone through these worries?

Having twins! 10 weeks pregnant. Meeting with genetic counselor tomorrow to discuss testing options. I’m honestly leaning towards CVS… I want to know as much info as possible at highest accuracy. Did anyone else opt for that kind of invasive testing? Why/why not? The fact that I’m having twins is what’s making me want to jump to that level of invasiveness…

Has someone ever questioned your decision to join the military? I always argue about it with my father. He believes you must be a little crazy to join the forces and withstand the things you see while deployed. I always tell him he must be crazy too for being a dentist. Is there such thing as part time recruiting/sourcing roles? Does anyone know companies looking for this? I’m realizing my toddler needs more behavioral therapy and attention than I initially anticipated when his behavioral issues started popping up, and I made the decision to step down from my agency role today since it is, of course, high volume and a lot of working hours. I’d like to still work if possible, I have a hard time doing the 100% stay home thing.

I personally feel that it's absolutely ludicrous the US government is not enforcing or at least asking people to wear masks in healthcare environments like at the pharmacy, doctor's offices, or the hospital. We all wear ours behind the counter but I had a patient come in today WITH covid to pick up her prescription, no mask. I get that she already has it so she isn't worried, but what about the other people around??

Out of curiosity, have any other married folks’ sex lives absolutely tanked after being in BigLaw for a few years? Between the stress, exhaustion, lack of time to physically do it, lack of time to connect with my spouse to keep up that spark, the resentment from my spouse when I’ve been cranking on a deal all weekend… I just don’t know how people keep things going strong in the sex department in this line of work.

Does anyone know of homeopathic solutions? Just curious to start a conversation.

I’m a traveler and need to choose my next destination. I could accept positions in Chicago or Colorado Springs- I’ve never been to either. I think my living stipend would go further in Colorado but I’m worried it will be boring? Rent is so high in Chicago from what I’ve seen, but is it worth it for the experience?
