To those who practice bankruptcy: think I can get my Federal law loans forgiven in a Chapter 7 if I haven’t been able to get law jobs after graduating almost half a decade ago and objectively give up on the law to go back to retail? It’s probably time for me to stop trying but I also can’t deal with a third of a million dollars debt over my head if I’m earning sales associate wages at a retailer.

Adjust them to your income. You may never pay them off but neither will I.

I’ve been in IBR ($0) since my undergrad in 2011. I figure I’ll never earn enough to move that number though. What’s the threshold? I haven’t earned more than $25k/yr in my life so I think I’m safe if I don’t move up any more.

Can you move markets to try and find attorney roles?

Hitchhiking and being homeless would be a lot harder on me than the rock and a hard place I’m in now.

Is it legal to dock pay, bonuses and/or origination payouts if billable time isn’t entered on time? Firm is threatening a 3 strike rule. Just seems off if you work for the money (it’s calculated based on rates/hours/business brought in) that they could threaten you this way. Firing? I understand that. I’m in Pennsylvania if that makes a difference.
