Depends on the material, but it canāt hurt. I use them on my Dior book tote because the embroidered fabric handles are hard to clean and will discolor. There are brands other than Hermes that make a nice silk Twilly if youāre looking for a cheaper option
I wear the Twilly like this - on an otherwise a little boring bag. Nice little twist

It looks nice, but Iāve never been a fan of that approach. At least not if you were actually using the handles of the bag a lot. If thereās a strap involved then maybe itās OK. But I just feel like a Twilly is an awfully expensive cover and I would worry about them getting dirty. I do occasionally tie a scarf around my bag handles, but not when Iām actually using those handles.
Only if itās an HermĆØs bag. And probably only if itās a Birkin or Kelly. Not sure if Iām a big fan of doing it in general, but I most certainly am not a fan of it on many thing but HermĆØs bags.
