When I joined TCS, thought to stay here till I retire. Got 2 A bands, cleared DCA, but the project I used to do was that of a BA on excel sheets. Now joining Lexmark (prod based) with 40% hike.

But still I have mixed feelings, since it's my first switch.

I cried today, even touched my lead's feet

Has anybody gone through the feeling of uncertainty while leaving a very comfortable and rewarding life at TCS?

Any tips to manage this feeling?

I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .

I've that the COE team is supposed to guide TCS employees on client end. However, I've also heard that as they do not generate any profits, TCS moves them to client side as soon as possible.
