Awesome — keep up the great work one day at a time
Power to you dude. Go get an adrenaline rush when it gets hard. Jump out a plane or something 🤙🤙
And drink more water
Dude / dudette - help!!! Lol. Firstly, congrats! Was a smoker for 12 years before switching to vaping. Now it’s been 4 years since I’ve been vaping and it’s leading to lots of issues. I’m insanely addicted.
What worked for you? Thinking of getting nicorette / nicotine patches as well.
Totally understand - the vaping is 10000% more addictive than the cigarettes!! When I smoked, I only had 3-5 cigarettes a day. I started vaping to quit and eventually started going thru an entire cartridge per day (equiv to a pack) years ago.
I had wanted to quit for so long since the chemicals inside and long term effects are unknown, but I couldn’t stop. The towns around me slowly started to reduce inventory and I was driving farther and farther to get them.
I hit my breaking point when stores pulled them completely last week. The thought of driving 40 min to the next county sounded so pathetic to myself.
I’m using nicorette, the gum! It was recommended from a friend and I’m tracking the amount of nicotine diligently. I even calculated how much was in the cartridges. I use 4mg and honestly the second I have a serious craving, I pop one in and I feel TOTALLY fine, like magic.
My friends using the 6mg pouches bc he was an even heavier smoker. We both find it working to help with cravings. I also got the lozenges bc I don’t like to chew :)
Here’s to kicking nicotine addictions completely ❤️ hopefully!
Keep going! I’m someone who doesn’t like smoking at all so I always champion it! Eat something you like whenever it feels like you are losing it but don’t go back to smoke
You got this!
Congratulations!!! So proud you’re putting yourself and your health first.
Keep it up! You’re doing amazing!
Ayye. That’s some good progress. One day at a time. Keep going . 😊
I am trying to quit as well !! GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF US 🥰
Yay!!! Good luck Designer 2 ❤️❤️❤️ let us know how it’s going, you deserve a nicotine free life!
Chief
Wah to gooooo! Keep it up. Your future self is so happy and proud of you.
Congratulations and keep up your great work. The faster the drug gets into the bloodstream, the more addictive and harder to quit. It takes a drug such as nicotine longer to get into the blood orally than through the lungs so using nicotine gum or lozenges is the way to go over quitting using a vape.
Something else you can do is get more sun exposure. This increases dopamine in healthy way helping you to better fight addiction
Incorporating more short walks throughout the day for sun ☺️☀️ ty!
Update: 7 days in
Any fellow quitters: just a little nauseous after day 5, crankiness at day 4, but nothing too awful :)
