How much tax is everyone paying out this year?
Hi guys,
What is the policy in your firm related to working hours during Ramadan?
As per the UAE government, private sector working hour must reduce by 2 hours. Does your firm/project comply with this and if not, isn’t that a violation?

Happened to me as well when I was at BCG.. I left instead.. Turned out okay.. Whatever you decide, you are gonna be just fine. Hold your head up kid! 🙌🏿🙌🏿
I’m so impressed with the way you’re choosing to react to the feedback. That speaks volumes about your character which is most important. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do next 🙌

Whole I’m a top performer in my current job, I was a low performer at my prior. A lot of times it simply comes down to: what you’re good at + environment + team. Really, you may be the most exceptional person on the team, but there’s no way to know because it conflicts with the management style, the environment, and the area

*while…gd autocorrect. Apparently I’m a low performer on fishbowl as well
You got this! I have a friend who felt similarly and left last year. Everyone's experience is different, but they are extremely content with their decision. Best of luck ❤️
I second ACD1 - great perspective for a challenging day I’m sure. Chin up and go kick some ass now! Wishing you the very best!
I have been there too! You’ll be fine!! Sending good vibes your way
Wish you all the best. I’ve seen people become superstars at other firms. Sometimes it just isn’t the right fit or the right timing at the current firm. No blame, no shame. If we are friends, keep in touch. If not, still wishing you well.
Here would be my take:
1. The issues they are speaking to will realistically need to be addressed as you go forward in your career. At some point, a consultant must grow from being able to learn & play the music of others to being able to take the notes and write new music to match new needs.
2. You can probably do this. I suffered from the same situation at a point in my career. I had to really work on developing those new muscles. I was very conscious of becoming less intimidated by new spaces/problems.
3. This may happen at PwC, but it may be that you will thrive more in a new environment where you are not being looked at through the lens of - “good learner, but struggles with blank canvas situations.” I went to a new environment & was able to reinvent myself & it worked out fine.
I was at PwC before, also a SC. Left for industry and was probably the best decision in my career for the new changes. If you don't see any growth and need some changes, you should act on it! Take in charge, remember all those feedbacks are just some personal points of view, take the constructive feedback, grow, and move on to other adventures.
Sometimes a shift in context or environment is needed to push you into your next phase of growth. You have tons of experience to look for the next opportunity where you will thrive.
Thank you everyone for the kind words and messages! So nice that you’re reaching out! I’ve made some mistakes (a lot of them), learned, grown, and developed from them. It’s unfortunate that I’m at a slower pace, but life is no race, and if I compare, I’d be miserable. Whether it’s at PwC, another group, or another company, life always works itself out. I work hard and treat people fairly, which has taken me far in life.
DM if you want to learn about smaller firms.
Yup! I am going through the same phase. Let's get it!🔥🔥
Reach out to your network to see if anyone can help out. I’m sure there’s many open doors for you
A job is just a job, and it doesn’t define who you are. The fact you’re taking ownership and using this as an opportunity to grow from is admirable and tells me you’ll be fine :) Best of luck, stranger!!
What level are you?
@PwC 1 the feedback is genuine, and they’ve told me they want me to do well. I’ve been told by the practice that I’m well liked, and they want me to succeed. The last thing they want is for me to leave PwC

I’m so sorry this is happening to you! Hope you can keep us updated and you’ll find something better
We all need an ass kicking or two, and that’s ok. It’s how we learn. Kudos to you for recognizing and wanting to make a change. And at the SA level. Shows more maturity than many, many of your peers (trust me, I’ve had to deal with many).
Keep it going! Also remember, it’s ok to have faults - as long as you recognize and don’t let them bring your self confidence down. Make sure you keep tabs on what you’re good at(sounds like you are). Proud of you.
That’s an amazing tenure. Be proud of yourself and plan your next move!
My utmost respect to you for taking ownership.
