Does anyone at Rutgers know where I can find a flexible part-time job for students on campus? I only found two campus positions on handshake and haven’t heard back from either yet. I feel like there has to be a lot more out there than what I’ve seen on handshake
Something similar to the digital classroom support specialist or tech help desk would be great. I consider myself tech savvy

Thoughts on Virtue?
Hello fishes,
I have recently joined Accenture and have experience in working with DSP/Syniti ADM data migration tool for the past 3.5 years. Now I am thinking if I can continue working on the same tool or if I can move to SAP BODS (not yet assigned to any proj and didn't receive any training on bods yet)
Which ETL tool is better in terms of growth, pay, demand and scope? Pls pour in your suggestions. TIA

From what OP said in a comment, sounds like performance and potentially a HR violation.
@OP: Take some time to reflect on it and then start applying. The overwhelming majority of rising seniors don't start senior year with an offer in hand, so you're not behind the curve. Plenty of time to come up with a story about why you didn't get a return offer and figure out where you want to go from here.

Good news is you have a whole school year for the search. With a Bain internship on the resume, you’ll do fine. Take a few days to be unhappy and then start your search, youve got this!
Hey 👋🏻
Welcome the reality for 95% of students.
Honest question did they rescind because of your performance during internship or Econ factors? If the previous you need to figure out what’s the gap and address it going into recruiting , if the later just keep interviewing like all the other kids in your class.
It's definitely not econ reasons, and even our low performer interns still keep their offers.
Honestly I think the only outs are bad cultural / moral / HR violation, or really, really low performer
I’m sorry that happened to you. That can be a devastating position to be in.
Most places won’t be able to tell you didn’t make the bar, so in general you can blow it off as “it wasn’t a great fit” and move on.
As for future jobs, you’ll likely want to reflect on why they may have reached that conclusion. And be introspective as to whether consulting is really what you want to be doing right out of undergrad

Genuinely interested on your stance in climate policy and/or how you tried to explain it to the point where it was brought up as one of the reasons for the offer being rescinded.
Im just picturing an intern belting out Despacito as the entire client team awkwardly waits for dessert
An internship with Bain?? This is almost unheard of...what happened? 😳
I don’t I did what so ever. I never brought up race and I am black myself. I think it may be because I had this convo infront of a senior person at Bain and my manager didn’t like that. They also said I didn’t have enough ownership and some ZD errors and was behind and all do these combined
Impossible to really give advice here without understanding if your offer was rescinded due to performance or broader market factors. It’s extremely rare and if it’s due to performance, you need to reflect on that and have a good story when you interview for full time roles otherwise it is viewed as a major 🚩
Who cares, I took two years off after graduating, work isn’t everything
Judging by the support I’m getting on this, would say it’s a justified reaction haha but I apologize if I came off too strongly
I’m sorry this happened to you but don’t worry!!! You don’t have to have a job before senior year even starts. Most corporate recruiting only starts in the spring anyways. Don’t worry, just focus your efforts on networking and figuring out other companies to apply to. I didn’t come to BCG until 1 year post grad, everyone has a different path
There’s way too much pressure for undergrads to land jobs before they even start senior year and that’s so ridiculous 😅 they’re losing out on so many job opportunities that hire later in the year…..
Seems like your supervisor did not like you/cultural fit issue.
I’m interested in which office you were in, knowing Bain you were probably the only black intern. I don’t think it’s a race issue but some might give less excuses when you make mistakes.
Whatever the case, good luck on your future endeavors- I’m sure you’ll end up at a great place.
There’s a thread above in which OP explains the circumstances - singing at a client dinner, some other stuff.
Rescinded an existing offer at Bain?
Definitely not the case nowadays for our interns, especially since full time offer is included

The more I read responses, the more insane this story gets
I want a play-by-play of the singing and the climate change conversation

I would get off fishbowl and go outside and enjoy the summer. Adult life will come soon enough, you enjoy your youth. 🌞

Or even better, take a semester off and backpack through Europe, that will teach you more about humanity than all your years of education.
You are young, this is the time to branch out and live.
It's clear from this thread you have communication issues. I would check with your school's carear services office to see how they can help.
