Today was horrible. I don't even know why. Not the kids. More the adults. I hate crying in front of people. I need a mental health day.

You do need a mental health day. Take one, you have to take care of yourself. Sometimes a day off does the trick.

I'm the kind of person who believes in speaking up for myself (I'm not a physical person). If you make it known to one person that you're not going to put up with their mess and you state it in no uncertain terms (no threats needed), they will not bother you again, and others won't bother you at all. You have enough on you with dealing with the kids on a daily basis. Don't put up with people treating you bad. Some adults are worse than kids that bully, don't give them the satisfaction. Turn it around on them, and give them a dose of their own medicine.

Yes, you have had a bad day. You stated you did not even know why and that hate crying. Something is bothering you or upset you to the point that your body and mind feel like you need to cry. Crying is a way our bodies release some of the tension and stress we care with us. So find a quite place where you can cry it out. Once your relieve that stress think about taking that mental day and look for ways to take care of yourself. Please remember what you are feeling is only human. This too shall pass. I know there have been days that I get in my car and cry or I am so mad at someone or something, that I need to take a moment and think who is this really hurting. Yourself.

I'm not sure which adults were horrible, but if it's the parents perhaps get the principal involved when you correspond with certain parents. Always having the principal cc'd on your correspondence with those parents. Face to face meetings for those need to be with the principal. Set clear parameters that we ask questions first and establish facts rather than assume/accuse/criticize. If it's your peers or administration try to define what it was that triggered you and think about what your expectations are-are they unrealistic for that/those person(s)? Only you can control your reaction and set parameters within communication. Take that day off and take time to explore healthy , professional responses to conduct and behavior of others. Good luck!

Hi all,
I’m currently a junior doctor in an intensive care in London. I’m hoping to make a career switch over to consulting. I’ve done research, but struggling to find an initial landing spot in consulting. Does anyone have advice about making the switch from medicine? Where should I start/aim for? For reference I graduated 3 years ago and am currently studying an MSc in Global Health Policy at LSHTM. Thanks!

I just graduated with an MSW here in California and was offered a mental health therapist position with Wellpath. I went through three interviews, and none of the people I spoke to could give me a pay range. Does anyone here work for Wellpath in a jail setting and know the pay range? I understand each state and county will be different, but at least I know what they could offer me.

Feeling really lonely this holiday season and I think it's time for a change. I love my job but I'm realizing I devote too much time to it. Ideally my partner would also work in healthcare, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. Ladies what should I do?? I'm a 32 year old woman with no kids.

Second year considering leaving NY biglaw for a few public interest options. Partly for mental health reasons. Making market, and I would potentially leave for a starting position offering around / a bit over $80k. Holding out currently to see what else arises. Fortunately I don’t have much debt, and that’s enough to cover my basic rent/living expenses, but not by much. Has anyone made a jump like that before? How did you manage financially if so? Living in this city ain’t cheap🙃

How do you keep all of your notes-to-self organized? I’m using OneNote, but I’m curious how others do it.

Bonus points if you have ADHD and you use this type of thing as a lifeline 🙃

Hello Fishes, its really strange to ask but I have no option left.
I have almost 2 years of gap in my career due to medical issues, but not its recovered and I am trying to rejoin again. I applied to so many places but has been seeing only rejections either due to gap and either due to my over qualification.
I am truly tired of applying and waiting for their call back and reverts, Its like getting into depression slowly slowly.
Is their any place where I can get hired soon. Please help me.
