Honestly? I thought it was 100%, especially with omicron, but…my mom just got it and her boyfriend who she sees daily, didn’t. My husband’s brother in law just got it and my sister in law didn’t (his wife), neither did husband’s parents who rode in a car with him for 2 hours when he had Covid but didn’t know yet. All of the above parties are boosted. This was during the height of omicron 2 weeks ago when everyone and their mothers (literally!) were getting it.. Who knows really???
Living this right now. 4yo tested positive on Sunday and now waiting for it to hit the rest of us (even though we are vaxxed+boosted). FWIW my son had one really sick day with high temps, no energy/appetite, etc but now is back to his charming and energetic self. Hope you all make it though with minimal symptoms!
I don’t know any toddlers that respect any amount of personal space. I got it from mine.

Just take some vitamin C or zinc supplements, get enough sleep, hydrate…normal steps you’d take to boost your immune system during flu season. You’ll be fine. Hope the kiddo feels better soon.
I do this too during winter months. Don’t over due it on zinc, and make sure to eat food when you take supplements or else they won’t get absorbed into your body
U can still get it even though ur boosted lol…
Yep we’ve accepted our fate.

Does this toddler cough in your mouth from time to time?
I think toddler ends at 3 but this was the closest I could find
Somehow we just got through this last week. One of two kids tested positive. Asymptomatic, and none of the rest of us caught it. All of us tested regularly. Feels like i used up all of my good luck for 2022 in one go.
I kissed my husband hours before he got a Covid test that was positive. I didn’t get it. We’re both fully vaccinated
There is a chance but you may be one of those lucky ones. This virus is really weird. My best friends 3 year old caught Covid. The 3 year old passed it to his younger brother (1 year old) and his mother. However my friend never caught it which baffled him as he was taking care of the kids while his wife was down with covid badly. He even had the 1 year old sneeze on his face but somehow he never caught it (even had a pcr done)
If your house is anything like mine - slim to none for one parent and reasonable shot for the other.

My niece (4) got COVID and spread it to my nephew (1.5). Both have very mild cases. My sister and brother and law have tested themselves multiple times and keep testing negative. Triple vax is effective, but not foolproof - I know of others that have gotten breakthrough infections.
none of my boosted friends have gotten it from their covid+ kids
if you have cardio equipment at home i recommend doing at least 20 minutes day just to keep those lungs and heart fighting. We got it first week of the year and I think it helped a lot. We were boosted and the sore throat/headache went away after 3 days

While you can still get it, there is a significantly reduced chance you’ll get it. It’ll also be mild. My toddler is going through a ‘raspberry’ phase so if this is us we’d certainly get it lol

You’ll probably get it but your symptoms shouldn’t be anything crazy… my husband tested positive and is vaxxed and boosted and I tested negative… I’m vaxxed, and got boosted a few weeks after he tested positive. I never had symptoms so I either didn’t get it or the vaccine did it’s job, which is not “preventing me from getting it”, but minimized my risk of serious illness.
You can still get it. But take care

It's a good thing you're boosted, giving you the best odds of having a very mild or maybe even asymptomatic infection. And after that comes the vaunted superimmunity.
My toddler got the original strain, slept in our bed while sick (because I was too nervous) and we never got it. Teenage daughter got both original strain and omicron, we did not quarantine her away (because still, too nervous) and we still managed to not get it. So 🤷🏼♀️
zero
Low probability but not zero. Imagine if you both were not boosted.
