I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

You probably work at an at will state, not much they can do. You shouldn’t have shown your hand
They’ll pay out your remaining PTO hours so take that into consideration

Pwc 2. I understood the OP to be saying that they’re still letting him give 2 weeks notice, just not the 4 weeks he wanted. Those are not vacation though cause you’re working
So you haven’t officially resigned? This is kinda an interesting dilemma because I don’t think they can force you to resign, but I think they can still RIF or fire you.
I’m curious if any other 🐠 have had this experience
I plan on holding out one week but really want to know if account lead can force me to resign also.
Plan to leave by end of 2 or earlier even if you say you can and want to stay longer.

I’d submit a resignation letter and write in it that it’s for fours from now. I think they’ll have to pay you for any weeks until then unless they want to try to fire you.
They can only fire you and pay you severance according to employment agreement and PTO. When you resign, they can ask you to leave on the spot and you’ll be paid 2 weeks + PTO. I believe this is pretty standard
@A1 in the US, employees up to level 7 get 1 week of severance per year of service. It goes up to 2 weeks once you hit level 7

i would “forget” to do the resignation letter and hope they don’t bring it up again lol

Does anyone know max payout hours for PTO at Deloitte?
Don't believe there is a max, though you can only rollover PTO for one year, but two. That would mean it would be difficult to ever feasibly leave getting more than 9 or so weeks paid out.
Take a week off next week for a "medical emergency" to burn 40 hours and submit your resignation stating the effective date is 2 weeks after you get back
I would totally do this except I have 20 meetings scheduled for next week and cant just leave my client hanging.. I would burn many bridges
