Hi all, I joined a company 7 weeks ago as a motion graphics designer in the marketing team. 5 weeks after I joined, two coworkers in my team, both titled marketing associate handed in two weeks notice and leaving on the same day. Hello Fishes, can somebody help me understand the pay range for Senior manager. In discussion with HR for SAP role. HR is not disclosing the pay range and giving only 10 percent hike.

On a new team, internal move. Have about 10 YOE but looks like this will be the first year I end nowhere near annual goal. A few things outside of my control as I'm coming into the territory and things falling through. Role is heavy on renewals/farming but also some hunting. Because the farming has been so bad as I settle into month 4, will have a huge climb. The number of reps/meetings to get there is not attainable. Do I grind it past year 1? I hate that I will come nowhere close to goal...

I started my first in-house role about 4 months ago and I don’t think it’s the right fit. I love the no billable hours aspect, but otherwise I miss the structure of being at a firm. How long do you think I should try to stick this out before I move on? I want to give the job a real shot - and i know the transition to in-house can be jarring…but I also don’t want to spend too much time in a job that is a wrong fit.

I recently transferred offices to NYC at my firm. This doesn’t show up on my app besides on my resume on the location line where it says “NYC/x” next to my position. Do I explain this in the optional or will they understand based on my address and this note on the resume?

Two recruiters have told me that specific major national firms refuse to interview any current or former employees of the firm I work for. is this a big problem or something usual for firms? Panic set in and I’m worried I won’t find decent employment. Current role is underpaying and workload is unmanageable with zero sign of improvement.

For those of you that are citizen / PR. Do you get tons of Singapore recruiters chasing you for roles which are way out of your focus area, getting interviews done only to be ghosted after? I had a few of these and decided to not entertain anymore. My general feeling is they use me to 1- get a salary benchmark, and 2- check the box to interview an “unqualified” local only to use it as justification to get an EP for a foreigner they were targeting to bring here in the first place.

I burst in tears randomly multiple times a week and I cry out loud. I also have constant dreams of her most of the time normal dreams. I have been at my company for 3.5 years. One year ago (2.5 years into my employment with them) they re-leveled everyone and I was bumped to an entry level position on the terms that they changed my job title when they re-leveled, so “technically” I am at the early stages of my new title. Even though the job duties did not really change.

I finally got diagnosed with ADD, inattentive type, at 28 years old. I’ve known I had depression and anxiety for years, but the symptoms and treatment never added up. It took WFH in a pandemic to realize maybe I had ADD, and still months of being dismissed and made to feel like I was crazy before I found a doctor to administer the MMPI. I feel validated, finally, but I can’t help feeling grief too over so much lost potential and unnecessary failure, especially in law school and my career.

I like working on controls/SOX much more than substantive. I thought about switching internally to advisory and doing internal audit but not sure what the best move is.
