Come to Texas if he’s got typical boy interests. 🤠 Space center in Houston, rodeos all over, stockyards in Ft Worth, and plenty of dinosaur finds and museums (goes along with being rich in oil fields, I guess?)
What about a cruise? We did that when our girls were younger. Kids clubs allowed us to have some adult time and the consistent accommodations helped the girls feel more at ease. Can see lots of locations as well.

My husband took my oldest to Stockholm (he was 6 at the time) and he loved it. I will say that the list says Nairobi but I would avoid the city as much as possible. Sure you have to fly through there but I wouldn’t spend any time in the city itself.
We are going to Paris and London in April with our 8 and 6 yos. I do think Rome would be great and it’s on the list. I also want to do the Galápagos Islands but I’ve told it’s better when they’re older (13ish) and strong swimmers. My 8 yo loved NYC last year and we need to get to some national parks as well.
Yes. We got them scavenger hunt books for each city so to them it’s also an adventure to see all the typical sights. They learn French in school (not that they’re any good) but I think it gives them perspectives to see other cultures. In London we’re staying with friends who also have kids.
Go to London and spend your time at the London Transport Museum, and or the depot at Acton.
Went to Paris, London, Bruges last summer with our 6&8 year olds. They loved Bruges and London. Paris too, but a bit less (could also be it was a heat wave, and pretty miserably hot). Bruges is kind of a little storybook medieval town - and just right for kids. London has just a ton of kid friendly activity and food.
We’ve enjoyed mexico - Mayan riviera, and also PR with them. Good mix of beach and adventure/culture.
Headed to Costa Rica this year.... looms amazing.
Also skiing is always fun!
