Heyy ~ new to this social network!
Hi,
I am looking to learn more about the NPI program manager role at Apple. Specifically want to understand the following:
1. What's exactly the day to day beyond the fluff job post?
2. What skills will be considered critical to be successful in the role?
3. How is success defined in the role?
4. What does the career progression look like?
5. What background is considered desirable for this role? Can one get into this role without prior background in NPI?
Thanks in advance!

When you're the best, you know how to nurture people into becoming their best 🤷🏻♂️
I think it has more to do with the big tech companies have the bandwidth to nurture someone with a lot potential where as smaller companies don’t.
So true!
For real. Expectations for new hires just keep getting more and more ridiculous.
I never looked at it that way, but you are 100% correct. Insane!
I think U1 has a good point. Smaller and mid-sized companies don't have the resources/time to let you develop...but also, I feel like they're less clear on what they want. Most of the time they're recruiting you do your job + other stuff, which isn't great but it feeds into that mindset too
So true.
My ultimate favorite is when the recruiter/job advert asks for 10+ years of Kubernetes experience 🤣
Glad to see CACI here. I was there for 7 years.
