Totally burnout by BL. What other non legal professions are there for attorneys that pay well (140+)?

In-house, skilled contract legal work (typical 40 hour per week contracts annualizes to $200k+), legal recruiting, law school professor or administrator, judge, mediator (might be a struggle to make $140k), legal tech sales (could be commission based)

In-house positions may be the most feasible option with decent salary if you are still open to working as an attorney but outside of BL. Some of the in-house attorneys seem to have transitioned to nonlegal, managerial role in their companies later on.

Golden handcuffs. You usually need a few years of experience doing something before they pay you $100k :)

1yr or 7th?

I think OP is specifically looking for *non-legal* professions. OP, management consulting comes to mind.

I’m always looking for attorneys who want to try legal recruiting. Dm me if you’re interested in discussing.

Well if your specialty is tax, the hours in accounting firms are better

I kind of feel like I’m getting that recommendation because people don’t believe ADHD is a real issue.

I am a first-year in big law who started earlier this year. I am on pace to bill around 140 this month and I feel like I am not doing enough work. I’ve consistently reached out to partners but am not getting staffed on assignments. Today I did barely any work. I keep hearing about how slammed firms have been recently and am nervous that I’m not doing what I’m supposed to be doing. Is this a common enough experience when you first start out? What could I be doing differently to be more visible?

Hello! Any tips on entering big law upon graduation. Currently, a 3L at a New York school (not top ranked), 3.17 GPA. However, its been difficult to get my foot in the door and I am worried its because of my grades. Can anyone provide some advice?
