I will be moving to Bangalore in June for the first time and wanted to know how much monthly expenses(approx) one can expect for a 1bhk and other expenses like food, utilities, maid etc.

🐠Fam, Tax Issue. State tax refund last year was less than what TurboTax calculated. I plan to get more details from NY state about it.

But in the meantime, how much should I indicate as my State...

I am interested in investing in rental property in near future and looking for a group/individual to get in touch with for more information and find a mentor. Any recommendations on where to start ?

I have $200K in betterment for automated investing (eg 90% stock 10% bond) and use Personal Capital to track all my accounts. Recently personal capital approached me to use their advisory service to manage the investment - the fee is 0.89% vs. 0.25% at betterment. They don’t seem to have a better strategy except “we have a live person managing your investment”. Anyone have experience? Shall I consider it? (I don’t have time /energy to manage it)

Need some help: doing taxes and seems I exceeded the comp limit to create a Roth IRA and process a $6k 2020 contribution due to wife’s government unemployment pandemic boosts/extensions. Is there a reason why we always focus on earned income tax rates as a means for generating tax revenue? Seems like instituting a minimum effective tax rate on corporate earnings or taxing capital gains as ordinary income would yield more tax revenue while providing the majority of Americans (and people on this app) with more after-tax income and the freedom to choose how to use it (spend, save, invest, etc.).

My daughter’s softball team was supposed to play in a tourney last weekend but there weren’t enough teams entered so it got cancelled. Another team in another tourney needed an extra player so I said my daughter could pick up with them which guaranteed her to play at least 5 games with them Sat-Sun.
