When the other side of a deal sends redlines against their last draft, instead of your last draft.
Yes!!!!
Emailing me each page of a document in separate emails...as images in the body of the email. Thank you for the 50 emails. We’ll respond tomorrow after someone copies and pastes those into a Word doc, PDFs it, and puts it all in one PDF for us.
Someone did this to me recently during a closing. He sent several different pages from agreements from different people over ~20ish emails and (it was late, assistant was gone, it was urgent) I was stuck trying to download these stupid photos and try to organize and splice them together. Rarely have I been more annoyed.

Secure messages from banks or title companies that you have to log into a site in order to view for anything other than wiring instructions
Or journal it in your system!!
People who dont include signature blocks in their email and make you work to find their phone number. Demonic.
I despise this.
British counsel is especially guilty of this: emails that contain comments that aren’t captured in the markup you sent unless it’s a high level comment. I’ll get a markup and an email with things like “19(b) should be (c)” and then 7 turns later get a snarky email asking why I rejected their comment. Also these same people normally send piecemeal comments. I’m convinced at this point that they are trained to do this so that come closing they are fighting with you because in the 4th email they sent you about another ancillary document had a key point in the bottom of the email about another document.
With one sentence as you just did now 😂

Redlining a document without using track changes and instead using red font and strike through instead to show deletions.

We turn contracts back and forth. I always run comparisons with Workshare Compare because some people don't use track changes or try to sneak stuff in. And if you do deletions with strike through instead of deletions, it doesn't show up as an edit in the comparison. SO MANY PEOPLE DO THIS. I don't understand. It takes more work.
When I ask two questions and the reply is “yes”
THIS. I hate when my specific bullet-pointed email just goes unanswered for a week and then I’m scrambling at the deadline because someone asks “why did you do this, you should have done that” when if they had taken five minutes to read my email...
I feel like there is so much posting on this app from litigators that it’s nice to hear from my fellow transactional people of the world. This is the best post this week.
Calling you to tell you their comments in a doc instead of sending you their redline. Then get upset about the changes you made on their behalf.

Thank you reply-all emails.
JUST THANK THE ONE PERSON YOU MEAN TO THANK, PLEASE!!!
I am so guilty of this I am sorry
This may be more common for in house transactional counsel, but my biggest pet peeve is getting a client email with a 40 page attachment (no background or context) and a note that says, “do you approve this?”
And then they refuse to pay if you bill anything over 0.3 to review and advise them on said 40 page attachment.
People who end their emails with “Make sense?” It just hits as so patronizing and drives me nuts.
I usually say this just to make sure my ADD brain and narrative literally made sense.
Not replying to all when it makes sense to do so. Always ends up with a first year getting IMPORTANT REPLIES just to him and then sometimes they don’t necessarily understand it’s important, so it drifts into the ether until I’m like “did so and so ever reply?” “Oh yeah, he said we needed to confirm xyz”. Ughhh, you’re killing me.
And they’ll have a full on exchange and make decisions without telling you. I get this sometimes when I try to let male juniors take the lead or get more client facing time. They just up and cut me (the female senior) out and my male juniors that are completely full of themselves will go days on a separate exchange without looping me in.
Niche area, I know, but inventors bitching about patent claims is so annoying. 1) they wouldn't know a good claim from a sea urchin, 2) claims almost always get amended/ change after they're filed, 3) patent claims are like another language - you can't just read some patents and think you know how to speak/write them. Seriously, though - difficult and/or unresponsive inventors/clients are the bane of my existence.
When people send me docusigned sig pages and I need to print those to PDF before I can use them in docs.
I tried the first of many Adobe alternatives and was loving in until they said I couldn’t do a bates numbering edit without doing it manually across pages.
Or when someone redlines their own changes from a previous version. Like that’s the point we reach absurdity.
When the other side sends around a revised draft ~without~ waiting for your comments that you were just getting ready to send across 🤡
Or when they send 20 docs and the docs are titled

Yes, please, I’d love to break this document into 5 pieces since you can’t use Dropbox either
