Currently working in big 4 and I feel im doing very well. Im working on getting my cpa and have consistently gotten great feedback from my team. If I can be completely transparent though, I’ve always wanted to hold a graduate degree. I have seriously considered going back to school to do a dual MBA & JD, but wonder if it’s worth doing it when im doing so well in my current career… I would appreciate any honest feedback or experiences. Thanks all for your time!
What are reasons to stay in Big 4 vs switching to a mid size accounting firm? What are some reasons to switch? I keep seeing ppl switch to midsize and I don’t get it. Once you’re in big 4 why would you want to downgrade? Am I missing something?
What are the exit opportunities for management consultants (US office based) in India (apart from other Big 4, MBB) ? What are the profiles that one could go for?
Do you think interns at consulting firms, MBB and Big 4, would still have a guaranteed full time offer this summer/fall?
I am having 7 yrs of experience.- B.tech work profile- Dot net full stack(angular) & Azure PaaS, Current is 17.5 LPA What salary I can expect (min max, avg) in big 4. Also EY vs Deloitte, which pay more for senior consultant. Thanks !
Any US based Big 4 employees ever do a secondment to your offshore team’s country (e.g. India or Philippines) or is that not common? If so, care to share your experience??
Anyone left kpmg to join another big 4 at manager level? Did you give 2 weeks to transition clients or were you asked to give up your laptop asap since your joining a competitor?
FYI - you should still get 401k match from your old company if you leave in first few months of new year. Heard differently on this app, but left B4 in Jan and still got employer match in Feb for 2019
Applied to multiple positions (different roles) at PwC consulting on which I perfectly match and I received quick rejection emails (within few days /hours which I appreciate not like EY who takes months or Deloitte who completely ghosts you). All the other big 4 got back to me positively with interviews. It's not my resume, my cover letter or how I match to the roles. I don't understand what is happening.. I really would like to get at least a screening call from PwC ( I really like the company)
Total comp for Senior Manager, healthcare consulting (revenue cycle, provider ops) in NYC at big 4?
I am currently an audit associate at a big 4. How hard is it to switch to TAS-FDD / valuations with less than one year of experience or close to one year
I’m seeing a lot of job req’s for Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group nationwide: does this group operate like a centralized Analytics COE to onsite strategy teams? (I.e. Consultants advise executives/leads on An analytics roadmap, and AAG come in and implement, rather than go with a Big 4 / Indian IT shop?) Thanks guys. Bain & Company
Best (paying) exit opportunities for Senior Associate in Advisory at Big 4? Five years of work experience, two of which were in consulting.
senior 1 financial services tax looking to leave big 4. Not sure what I want to do next, just know that I want it to be less stressful. Any advice on how to decide what kinds of jobs i should apply for? Should I just reach out to a recruiter and start there?
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Currently B4 tax M2 in the greater Seattle area speaking to a recruiter about opportunities. The recruiter keeps telling me with my YOE (just over 6 years) I should be looking at base of 130k in response to my original 150 - 170k. Should I aim lower? Not sure about the Seattle market.

I just realized that my raise last year isn't really a raise because inflation is so high. How many companies only give raises through promotions?
Anyone know if a companion has to be on your United reservation to become eligible for an upgrade if I have status? Or do they have to be on the same reservation as me
If you get a full time offer from the firm where you interned during your summer after your first year of MBA, will the offer pay for your second year of tuition?
Quick advice on financing a used car? Any recommendations/lessons learned? Thanks! Happy to provide additional info
Had a miscommunication with of counsel which resulted in me accidentally including language in an email to a client which embarrassed him. It was nothing that jeopardized the transaction, but they just took me off the deal. (Cont …)
Im on an H1B at Deloitte. I want to move to the Dubai and have been getting some traction with two different consulting firms. I’ve used less than one year of my first H1B. If at some point in the future I want to move back to the US will that count as a new petition or the sponsoring company with which I’ll get a job can file a transfer petition and get me started?
So my understanding of the EO is: pending AOS is not affected but no more 485 application, and no more immigrant VISA processing for consular processing - which applies to mostly family based GC?
I work in a 7-attorney firm with a national presence. Partly because I’m only a few months in, I work a roughly 8-6 day. I’m also new to billing and often find myself working all day and billing just 4 hours. Whenever I bring this up to the partner, he says it’s good we’re not over billing our client. We don’t have minimum billable hours so it doesn’t matter much for the firm’s sake but I think I’m missing out on learning the important skill of billing my time. Has anyone ever experienced this?
Good morning! I changed to a corporate after 2+ years at MBB to have a better work life balance but now I am bored and unimpressed. Would love to go back to consulting, so I am looking for a firm that has a better work life balance, guess a boutique firm would be good here. Any recommendations? I like tech (physics phd without programming skills)
So last couple of years have been very tough for me, ending a 6yr LTR, ex getting married overnight, dating horrors, losing 40lbs, intense family issues, covid, major housing crisis, etc etc. I realized I've given up hope and become insanely negative. Last night had a break down and decided I'm gonna reboot again. Just looking for tips to keep this motivation going.
Negotiating an offer with a federal consulting firm. I have a month of expected leave coming up in the summer - family emergency reasons. How do I mention this and let them know that ill need this time off.
Going on month 4 of being on a project I was supposed to be rolled off of. Team is dragging their feet on a backfill (I can't leave until one is onboarded). Worried that the projects I was supposed to move onto will be full or too far along by the time they get their act together. Do I just quit? I can't stay stuck on here, but worried if I push it more aggressively then I'll catch hell. Thoughts? PM and PPMD are also both women cont.
So glad Doner is back in the country! Talk about a strong agency brand. https://strategyonline.ca/2021/12/01/stagwell-merges-union-and-6degrees-to-create-donernorth/
I heard at Andersen Tax they publish everyone's utilization to the office and highlight the ones who didn't work enough. Is this true? I was thinking about jumping over there after this busy season but if that would be a dealbreaker for me.
I want to adopt a cat but I grew up with a dog, and have never owned a cat before. Does anyone have advice for cat ownership, where to start, how to find a social and cuddly rescue, etc?
Does anyone else feel disadvantaged professionally due to a general “bro-culture” in finance?
