I have been dating my gf for 6 months now. She’s a nice enough girl to hang out with but recently I’ve been feeling as though the effort in the relationship is really imbalanced. For example, she never offers to pay for dinner, never offers to cook for us (I do it), never buys gifts and doesn’t want to have sex (she she’s a virgin and wants to be sure I’m committed before she’s ready but she is happy receiving oral though).

I feel like I don't fit in with the upper middle class culture of accounting sometimes. I come from a lower middle class family, and it's hard to relate to the things my coworkers talk about - fancy houses, fancy cars, new gadgets that they are getting. I never grew up with those things, so I'm a little lost or it just don't seem that important to me. Perhaps I'm being judgemental, but I don't mean to be, it seems like we just have different priorities. Can anyone relate or have advise?

I have got offer from HCL technologies IOMC Noida, interviewed for Azure Cloud and DevOps, selected for infrastructure related project, wanted to know what is IOMC does IOMC has all the support projects, will this be a good call to join HCL IOMC.
Or Infosys with lesser salary interviewed for same role but project still not decided.

I have an appointment at the Chicago North location for a RealID but have seen some posts online that there are still massive lines even with an appointment. Preparing for a final round interview at Meta and the recruiter mentions they’ve instilled a Product Design “hiring freeze” effective until August.

I’m still interviewing, but if I make it through, they can’t actually hire me until this freeze subsides.

Is this a red flag? Likelihood it actually is lifted in August? If it’s economy based, I would be surprised if by August the market is better not worse.

My boss just told me he'll stop paying for our Notion subscription because he sees no use. This is a guy who still requests you install Skype and won't use Slack like the rest of the team. We have Jira but nobody uses it either.

It's like working for an IT company that stood still in the 90s and never moved forward, though they brag about being high tech.

I want to cry. I need a new job. I've almost 20 years of PM experience and I'm reduced to this. I'm crying already.

How do you guys think of multi stage interview process? Personally i feel interviews up to two stages is ok, further than that is a waste of time.

I read a few stories like people not successful in getting the role after 5 to 7 stage of interviews, this is inclusive of coding / design challenges, flying over to another state for onsite interview etc.

I'm a solid software engineer; I get the job done, I'm reliable, I work hard, i can accomplish almost any technical task with enough time, I'm supposed to be smart; I went to MIT.

But I am in awe of those 10x programmer types, because -- as the name would imply-- they finish everything 10x faster than me. I don't understand how they do it, and I am super envious. I want to be like these guys. But how? Is it even learnable or is it all just God-given talent? How can I become like them?

Currently I work for a SaaS company with great benefits and I am torn. What’s more important? A 50K raise and the unknown of culture or stay where I am but know I’m underpaid?
