Traveled for the first time this week since COVID and got the dreaded “do you have kids?” question at team dinner. Him-“do you have kids?” Me- “No, I don’t.” Him-“Oh good! That’s the right choice!!” Me (awkwardly)- “I still have time… I’m not even 30 yet!” (Team member who knows about our 3 month and 6 month miscarriages looking on with THE saddest face) Ughhhh. He had absolutely no idea and meant well since everyone was talking about their kids but gosh…I wish this didn’t have to be a thing😩

Insurance companies are now allowing embryo banking. This happened to me and also another friend who works at a different company where we decided to go through with another IVF cycle before attempting a transfer (because an optimal number of embryos was not achieved) and insurance approved them. Hallelujah!

Fresh embryo transfer. Got my period yesterday, and my pregnancy test in the clinic is tomorrow... so frustrated after all the investment... I had two embryos frozen so hopefully next time it happens... hope everyone gets what they want.

How much does it actually cost to have a baby with our insurance? In Austria, I can take up to a year off, but only receive €2,000 a month from the government 😳… I don’t think there is any paid leave through the firm. Pregnancy through birth costs are pretty covered by insurance though. Would love your thoughts!
