I used almost all commuting/traveling time practicing questions with an app. Also I studied much more in the weekends than in the working week. There is no targeted hours. Just do some practice exams and try to fill your gaps with Manhattan books.
The only way I could make it work was to condense the studying into 7-8 weeks. Very high intensity but I knew it would end. I probably did 1-3 hours during the week in the evenings and at least a full exam every weekend followed by a thorough debrief - so like 4-6 hours per day on the weekends. Helped me go from a 690 to a 740
I’d do 15 minutes before leaving the hotel, Friday afternoons and a healthy chunk of Saturday or Sunday with practice exams or just a long session. Felt the stuff during the week was helpful to keep the content and approaches front of mind. Studied over 10 weeks. Did the magoosh advanced plan with some tailoring, thought it was pretty good.
Mornings are most realistic honestly. You’re gonna be exhausted from work at 8pm and not do well so get up early a couple days a week
Thanks guys. This is helpful as I tailor my own approach
You need something to force a time investment at the beginning. Online gmat class for example. After you sunk 50 or 60 hours into studying, doing the daily and weekend studying thereafter makes sense and is easier because you're already so far along.
