Looking at a 2 hour drive each way from what I recall. Can you stay overnight in NYC? Otherwise you’ll need to get out of the city, back to your car and then drive a long way again.
You could always drive to Secaucus and stay in one of the hotels there and likely free parking (Hyatt Place). Short bus ride into Port Authority and walkable to the show
...considering parking at a NJ transit station (Princeton Junction, Metropark, Seacaucus Junction) then taking NJ transit train into Manhattan. Thoughts? Is this a better strategy than driving directly into Manhattan and parking in the theater district? Are there better stations to park at?
Driving to jersey is a good option. You could get a little closer to manhattan tho and still take the NJT
Metropark is a sound strategy, pending time of day. They have express into NYC and is less horrendous than most other NJT stations. If you are driving all the way to Seacaucus, might as well go to JC or Hoboken and take the PATH in
I am a big fan of Secaucus. Direct exit off turnpike. Cheap parking lot on weekends with valet and one stop to NYC Penn. Trains run every few minutes back- look at board with routes marked SEC.
Thanks All!
