If you like donuts/bakeries, a few recs:
PVD in Providence. One of or possibly the best craft donut shop in the US. Providence as a whole is fine, but an easy pit stop on your way north. Preorders are probably needed
Sift Bakery in Mystic, CT. Mystic’s a cute little coastal town with a quaint downtown to hang out in the summer and beaches nearby. For such a short trip, I wouldn’t do more than a pit stop in Mystic, but Sift is legit one of the best bakeries I’ve been to and is on a similar level to the best of NYC without the corresponding prices. Preorders are a good idea but probably not necessary if you’re good with waiting in a long line
Once you get to Boston, Flour is amazing for lunch. Definitely a must have.
Ahhh thanks. I’m such a bakery person.
If you only have 3 days I'd stick mostly to the Boston area. You can easily spend 2 days just in Boston. You can take a day trip to Newport, RI and go see the mansions. Not sure if the ferry to Provincetown in running right now, but if so you can take that right from Boston to the tip of Cape Cod. Provincetown is a really fun place to spend the day. Go to the beach, people watch, browse the art galleries and shops, enjoy a nice lunch outside overlooking the water.
I'd skip over PVD personally if you only have 3 days. Some great food there, but there's not much to see in Providence itself.
Okay just checked and the ferry is running. Here is the info.
