Know it isn’t listed, but the Ritz Bal Harbor is still 60k now! Will go up to 85k points once it becomes Category 8 in March.
Ritz Bal Harbor all the way
The W is SOOO nice
General consensus is St Regis > Ritz Bal Harbour. I’ve only stayed at StR so can’t directly compare, but we really liked it. So good choice.
In south beach, W > Edition. Free breakfast for Plat and above at W properties, unlike Edition properties, and I think the property is better in general
W is bigger, fancier and more fun. Miami edition is honestly tinyyyyy. The rooms are small, no lounge, not at the beach etc.
There's also a St Regis Bal Harbour. How does that compare to the Ritz?
OP - St. Regis is a top ‘legacy’ SPG property, just like Ritz is a top Marriott property. Usually St. Regis is harder to get on points so will be great if you can get it! Either way, I’d go with St. Regis or Ritz for your 60k points now before they become 85k
So, the St Regis has been amazing so far. The room/suite is great. The room+view combination is among the best I’ve seen in SPG/Marriott/Ritz properties across different geographies.
Thanks for all the inputs.
I finally booked the St Regis Bal Harbour - looked better than the Ritz Bal Harbour.
I will post with how it was once I get there.
I enjoyed the Royal Palm. Nice room upgrade, amazing view
St Regis sounds nice too
Nice OP! Is the beach accessible / warm enough to go in the water this time of year?
It was surprisingly accessible. You can definitely go in the water.
Glad you enjoyed your trip OP. Hope you actually got some work done ;)
