Treat the interview as a conversation, not as an interrogation.
👥 Interviews are actually two-way streets.
It’s your opportunity to interview the company as much as they’re interviewing you.
Too many candidates forget this.
They go into the interview ready to be “questioned” and reel off their answers to common questions such as “tell me about yourself” and “why do you want this job”…
And they wait until the end of the interview ask any questions of their own. Don’t give the interview power

Great advice! I find it really helps take the pressure off to look at the interview process as a two-way street as well.

I love this advice. This is really how I have always tried to treat interiews and even first dates. I just treat it like its a normal conversation and then see what happens!

I highly agree with this! Remember that you're interviewing them to be your company as much as they're interviewing you to be their employee.

Very good advice! I know most interviews are intimidating. But that should not prevent us from showcasing what we have.

I just got a call from AWS and they stated they would like me to interview for a Cloud Support Engineer (Windows) because of my strength in Windows according to those that interviewed me for my final round loop interview.
I asked for specifics like level, pay range, etc but they did not have the details. I am concerned because the Cloud TAM role I applied for initially was local to me and I think it might be a step down from TAM but I am not sure. Does anyone know? Is this normal?

Well-traveled people: what seem like the best major market cities to live in with access to great in-house jobs (FAANG, adjacent companies, etc.). Some markets seem like really fun places to live but seem insanely expensive (San Fran, DC). Others seem like great comp to cost of living ratios but you seem like you’d basically be in a boring suburb (Raleigh, etc.) or have major drawbacks (arctic weather in Chicago, etc.). Maybe I’m totally off base though. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

But I am ok if they provide 3L hike from the current offer they provided.
