Trenchcoats in San Fran? Or more casual jackets, shakets, Patagonias?

There are definitely some trenchcoats seen in the financial district - that is, when everyone is working in the office. It's still comparatively dead in downtown vs normal. But generally we wear a lot of casual jackets, Patagonia/North Face, because most people here dress casual or business casual for work. A lot of jeans. I had to look up what a "shacket" is. Wear the coat that goes with the rest of your outfit, and if it doesn't have a hood, pack a windproof umbrella.

I prefer trenches and most structured jackets. I’d wear whatever allows you to layer and be comfortable.

Our district does not give sick days if a teacher has Covid so if a teacher tests positive, that teacher must use his or her own sick days. If a teacher gets Covid or tests positive, 10+ sick days are gone because of district policy. Some teachers have lost 20-30 days because they tested positive 2-3 times even though they have no symptoms. Because of this, some teachers have stated they will not test and will just come to school unless their symptoms are too severe.

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

After a month of having to constantly ask about my onboarding, I finally was able to join. Now, it's been two weeks and no one seems to know how I get my laptop. With the support number I get an automated response of some mail I should have got which never came. I raise a ticket and they close it saying talk to the manager or onboarding advisor. There is no onboarding advisor and my manager asks me to go back to support. So, did I do something to offend the gods or is this hassle expected?
