Going back to work next month. Have a full time nanny but feel like even that isnt enough. I work all sorts of timezones. Europe has my morning, Asia has my evening. Nanny 9-5? 7-3? 10-6? No clue what will work best and don’t want to be inconsistent with her. Any advice on the return?

Hey recruiters!

Trying to find some guidance on giving the best option on getting that initial HR call in tech. During my career wise, I’ve been fortunate enough that recruiters reach out to me about job opportunity within the financial sector and airline industry but not tech.

My goal is to move to the tech/software industry and I’m not exactly sure where to start. If anyone willing to give some advice please DM or reply! Thanks!

Hi I had someone recently tell me I should have my education and certifications above my experience on my resume. I found this weird as I thought since I had 5 years of work experience that would go first. They said since I graduated college in 2020 and was actively in a certificate program those should go above my current experience. Thoughts?

Hi Team,

TCS has released the offer letter for me & my doj is on 30th Jan which I chose. My current employer is ready to release me early and my lwd is 30th November.

I am confused whether I should join on 30th Jan or I should talk to HR for early joining. Also, there are rumours that Indian MNCs are cancelling offer letters due to recession and hence I am scared as I don't have any other offer in hand

What's the truth 🤔

Is it hard for someone out of state to lateral into NYC? I saw that some firms require New York State bar, which I don’t have. I am wondering how serious they are about that requirement. I could waive in without taking the bar, but I am still not barred in NY. I am in litigation.

So if you pass the MPRE with flying colors that allegedly measures “ethical competence” you’re likely not a danger to the public, but if you fail the bar exam that allegedly measures and protects the public from malpractice you’re a danger to the public? I had a big laugh today. 😂

Giving notice next week to someone who went out of her way to recruit and hire me away from my old firm and has been really good to me. She worked for over a year to get me to come over. Now after only 6 months I’m going back to my old firm but in a different (better) group than I was in before. I am dreading the convo and feeling guilty but need to get over it. FWIW I’m 2012 and we are getting crushed with lack of senior people hence more guilt…. Just looking for a little encouragement :)
