Wasn’t planning on jumping, but got a call for job in Silicon Valley with opening number $195/200 base, 30% bonus, “lucrative RSU grant.” I’m 1+6 post grad, thoughts on this being high or normal?
Do you think an MBA is worth it?
When is a good point to transition Baby 2 into Baby 1’s room? Baby 2 has only just started sleeping through the night, so I want to make sure that skill is solid before we make a move, but (con’t)
Facing a career decision: do I take the pay raise, or the position that I'm more interested in?
My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
Has anyone else made the switch from Audit to AAS during COVID? How has it been so far in terms of hours compared to audit and do you enjoy it more than audit?
I’m currently in Photoshop clipping a guy out from a stock photo. Imagine if he knew someone was getting paid hourly to zoom in 800% on his crotch.

Got an interview request from Morgan Stanley for Prime Brokerage Client Service Account manager. Can anyone shed some light about what the role entails? Pros and cons? I’m currently in retail banking and would love to know what skills I can reference during the interview. Morgan Stanley
What type of comp offers are folks getting for Product Roles? Just got one for $190k base + equity and bonus for a seed round startup.
If I bring in/make an introduction to a client for the firm, will that expedite my career growth/comp as a senior? At a big 4, seeing if it’s worth my time.
Hey all. I created this bowl because I know what an intense – but amazing – process immigration is (moved from London to the US a year ago on an O-1 visa). Happy to answer questions or just chit chat.
My baby just woke up from his late morning pre-nap and is getting ready for his early afternoon nap to be followed by late afternoon post-nap.
I've recently been struggling to figure out what job is next and what I want to do with my career. I have 4.5 yoe, 3.5 years at PwC within tax/tax technology and 1 year within IT transformation, Agile/Change and Implementation work. I don't have many hard skills except for things like excel, PowerPoint, alteryx/tableau/powerbi, and struggling to find something that I want to do. I feel kind of stuck on current project and feel like I'm underpaid. Any advice or guidance on how to figure it out?
