How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

Since wfh I shared a few weeks after the anatomy scan. I’ve never heard anyone who regretted taking their full leave. Only heard of people who regretted cutting it short

I shared with my project team at 14 weeks because we had an on-site trip, it was noticeable, (twins), and overall, I'm fortunate we're a close team.
Shared to HR after the 20 week anatomy scan
Thanks!!
I joined a series A startup as an exec when I was 7 weeks pregnant. I told my manager on my first day and everyone else at 10 weeks. I was really sick so there was no hiding.
I’ll be the second person at the company to ever take maternity leave. We similarly have very few women and the men usually take virtually no time even though it’s offered to them.
Maybe because I’m in a leadership role, but I see this as a critical time where I can set an example. All parents should take parental leave (when they have the privilege… universal leave is another topic for another post). It’s important to the health of the birthing parent (when applicable), the baby, and the family. So I’ve been clear from the start that I’ll be out the last quarter of this year. Everyone has been really supportive! Like, so supportive. Companies that genuinely value diversity will be! And honestly, if they weren’t or become less supportive over time, then I’d rather work someplace else.
BUT you absolutely don’t need to tell people until you’re comfortable! Like I said, I was just so sick that it was impossible to hide.
Thank you so much!
*Not that my job is so high level/responsible - just that I am the only one that currently does it, so not so easy to just hand to someone else who already does the same thing. My boss would have to handle.
Same here. It took us some time to get pregnant with baby #2 and had some losses so wanted to share when I felt comfortable and decided to wait until 20 weeks scan to tell my boss. We then aligned on a plan for when I was on leave (I’m the only person in the job) and then told exec and sr stakeholder
