Stay consistent, after a week or so you’ll get used to it. In the mean time sparkling water or coffee/tea are your friends in the last hour before your window opens
Lol i tried this and a few days later I was so delirious that I rear ended 2 cars
Accept the fact you’ll be hungry. You’re not hungry, you just feel hungry. And then it’ll stop. The reward is how much clearer you’ll think.
I’ve gone 96 hours before. It’s actually liberating.
Fasting has been shown to improve longevity. I’d be much more concerned about the negative effects on your mind than on your body tbh. I have found great results with it, but be careful if you’re prone to disordered eating
As an update, I’m on day 5 on IF and complete sobriety, probably lost 3-4 pounds. However my energy level and clarity is through the roof
Takes a week to get into, drink a ton of water, remind yourself that you are not in fact starving, be grateful for the opportunity to experience hunger and satiety without any real risk, if you drink black coffee and are just absolutely at your wits end with fasting add a little almond/dairy-alt milk to your coffee to hold you over. Do something to distract yourself from 9-11 or whenever your awake and normally eating, boredom is a major source of false hunger. Be sure to not over do it when you eat your first meal. Get enough sleep (being exhausted makes your body crave calories) and one more time for the people in the back stay hydrated.
Ftr after being pretty consistent with 6:30-10:30 fasting, I often find myself waiting until after my 11:30 call to eat with no problem. Get easier every week
my bf started at Lent last year, so he's been doing it for a year and LOVES it - it helped him realize that he's never really hungry, just bored. But he said the first weeks were brutal (he was deployed at the time, and the food wasn't great so he didn't feel like he was missing much). Now he loves it and it helps him burn fat like crazy. He exercises in the AM for fasted cardio, and crushes black coffee and water all day (no booze at all). He normally does a big meal at around 3 and then a dinner at 8ish and starts all over...although now he's really just doing dinner and dessert. He doesn't like restricting what he eats, so if he only eats 1 meal, he can eat whatever he wants and that works for him. A lot of it seems to be the mental challenge of changing your routine, honestly.
Do it from 2-8. In the morning, don’t eat anything til lunch at 2. Dinner at 8.
2-8?? I’m gonna be dead by 12 haha
Drink water when hungry during IF times
Coffee and cigarettes are good at putting off hunger. And don't feel the need to be so strict about the time window, any short range will do.
Key-tonic. No problems at all from day 1
