What does it take to go from mid-level to senior level as an in-house brand designer? I'm just beginning year 4 of being mid-level, with ~5 YOE total. I recently made a lateral role change as the founding member of a design team at a startup, excited to have room to grow. CD was hired and we discussed new roles.. we agreed another mid-level would be great. Now due to some over my head things, the role has changed to senior. I've been clear about my desire for growth.

For those that see a therapist; what was your process of finding a good one? I struggle with finding a therapist that understands ambition and especially has cultural sensibilities. I am seeking to understand why certain things are a trigger for me, and so far all I’ve been getting is “ah, that’s rough”, or “Just take deep breaths”. Feel like I’m just waisting an hour every week. I wonder if I should look into psychoanalysis vs therapy, idk. Any thoughts appreciated!

Considering offer as assistant controller at a small HF shop. Currently audit A2, will be promoted to S1 this Summer, and in HCOL market. No CPA. Haven't gotten the details yet, but recruiter sent me for 95-100 base, expecting ~20% annual bonus, full medical dental, free lunch and gym FWIW. Is this low? Is it worth sticking around 1 more year as senior for potentially better? The position has a lot of growth potential, as the shop is quickly expanding. What other factors do I consider?

On EAD. Anyone made the move to Canada, Europe, etc coz of the all immigration issues - H1B, DACA, etc. seriously thinking hard. limited options and so stressful to deal with.
