Trying to exit into FAANG but know it may be a long shot involving a handful of rejections. Meanwhile got approached by a number of recruiters for a) smaller emerging startup <but need to shift geo>, and b) major banks for in-house strategy. I’ll proceed with interviews with a) since it will give me a flavour of tech recruiting, but should I even go through with interview process for b)? Thoughts? Fyi, have not interviewed in 4+ years!

If you haven’t interviewed in 4+ years, why not take the interviews & knock some of that rust off? 🤷‍♂️

This. I was at the same job for 12 years. Needless to say it took a few subpar interviews before they became easier

Why wouldn’t you?

I had this fear of burning bridges - if (i know this is overthinking) after finding me a good fit, offer the role, and I reject it.

How do you identify “burnout?” Pre-MBA, I used to be a high performer at my old job, but now since I have started my Consulting role post-MBA (after 2 years of a mostly remote MBA) I am really, really struggling. Not only have I been making a lot of stupid mistakes, but I have also been waking up dreading going to work, hating myself and in general really disliking the job. I want to quit and move back in with my parents. Is this burnout? Could my career recover if I did nothing for a few years?

Hey, would really like some advice here.

Recently graduated and am looking for full time roles. I've had four different internships, the last two in tech, and I've been doing marketing, specifically Product Marketing and looking for full time roles there. I was recently offered a role as a Product Marketing Associate - the team members sound great and responsibilities sound really up my alley, but they are locked in at 50k. I understand I'm a new grad and all, but is this a low-ball offer?

What do you do when you feel extremely unsupported by immediate leadership you report to? I feel unseen, unheard, and frankly if I get a measley hello before a demand for work it's surprising.

I know I'm a sensitive person, but am I really asking for too much? This is in no way the leadership model I follow in my own role as a SM - I'm very friendly and supportive. I don't want to just jump ship for fear it would be the same crap in a new place. Are others experiencing this as well?

I know these are his tricks to make me stay and once I stay then there is no surety when will I travel to onsite and there will be no hike for me next year along with the low performance ratings.

Anyone else curious about how someone can offer to buy a company, then put it on hold awaiting some information, then say they will pick it up cheaper once that information is provided, or not, and not be under SEC scrutiny for stock manipulation? I guess if you weren't a billionaire and able to swing the stock price by social media, that would be one thing, but since that is not the case. It'd be nice to have that sway!
