I see a lot of short bosses. Short on skills, short on intelligence, short on ideas and short on class.
That’s why you’re a SENIOR CW! Kablam!
We’re all the same height on Zoom.
But I’m 6’4 and miss feeling tall in the office. It does help.

That's where this came from actually, my interviews have yielded better results since the shift to video chat interviews

I'm 5'8" but I'm built like a brick shithouse and have been told I can look intimidating, which tends to work in my favor more times than not. It's just not height that's a factor, it's a variety of physical attributes. And they differ between men and women. I did a research paper about it way back when. There's data on it.
Also not a CD, but am 5’7”
I’ve been in situations where I was infantilized by managers who spoke to me as if I were a baby. I dunno if it had anything to do with my height, but I haven’t seen managers do this to my taller and most likely more compensated colleagues.
On behalf of the talls, I apologize for any discriminatory behavior. Not a good look.
I’m 5 feet & I hundred percent get infantilized even though I’ve been in the industry for 8 years. Unfortunately if you’re a short woman you’re deemed “cute” and look young which, while it may work in an ageist world, doesn’t bode well for moving up the ladder.
Not a CD, but agency has multiple male CDs in the 5'4" – 5'9" range.
I know a lot of CDs and up under 5’10. But it is proven that taller people do make more $$$, with other factors removed.

Damn, where do I go to cash in on this 6’6 slab of soft white meat that I’m stuck in?
Not saying this is happening, but it’s easy to let our biggest insecurity be the reason we think we are being held back. Maybe work on your confidence and see if happiness and desired job growth comes with it?
Can confidence then be conveniently misperceived as arrogance, specifically if it’s coming from someone of short stature? I’m saying that does happen. Who can cause more damage: a tall, positive, confident idiot or a short, honest, openly-flawed genius?
I’ve had plenty of male bosses under 5’8 — all of which had a Napoleon Complex though. Little men with power are terrorizers.
It has a nickname because there are studies and backing on the aggression of shorter men. I’m not talking about somebody being incompetent or terrible at their job because they’re short.
When you’re tall, you have no one to look up to 😞
