Trying to formulate my top ~5 list of buyout shops to pursue heavily. I’m at BB IB (not GS/MS) on West Coast, and I am not interested in getting an MBA. Any respectable firms that you know of that don’t ram MBA down your throat? I’m not going for MF. TIA!

I’m a recruiter who would like to eventually pivot to HR but I don’t have an HR degree. I’m considering pursing a Masters degree however am torn between HR or Org Psych/Org Development. Would love to hear folks’ perspective of either degree!

Hey folks. 3 YOE, working in tech at a great company, and making 135K TC in Austin.

Have an admit at Columbia and received 30K in aid each year, so I anticipate paying 110K in tuition. With cost of living in upper Manhattan, estimating an additional 35K each year, so 180K total cost.

I want to stay in tech post MBA, but explore faang companies and product roles. Is this worth the cost? I figure I could make a jump in comp at least?

Can anyone provide any insight on getting into IB or PE? I worked in wealth management for a decade and I’m finishing up my MBA with a concentration in Mergers & Acquisitions. Series 7, series 65 and CFP as well.

Is it awkward to have a 6 month gap before starting an MBA? Mainly asking since I had a December start with 2 years only guaranteed - so when I apply this year, my contract ends in. December so then not sure what to do from January to July of next year

I just accepted an IR associate role with a PE firm that is an amazing opportunity. More than doubles my pay (210 TC) and still doesn’t feel real. I’m usually a very confident person but I was somewhat pessimistic in the process because I didn’t expect to get the role or that I’d see that income at 24. I went from nervous that I wouldn’t get it to nervous I won’t do well. Not sure what’s happening but can I get any tips or best practice rec’s from PE IR folks? I want to hit the ground running.

Was given a case where I can invest anywhere between a range (e.g., $20-40 Mn). Assuming returns are good at each point (i.e., >20% IRR) what’s the best way of deciding how much to invest?

If I tell a recruiter of a place where I’ve finished 5 rounds and have 1 left, that I have an offer I need to respond to this week. Then they came back and said the team wants me to talk to CIO (not hiring manager) as final round but CIO is OOO until next week… how do I respond?
