I'd also question HARD whether a 40 hr week would be anywhere close to possible at a fast growing startup in a legal team of 1.
I was a solo at a C,D and E startup and regularly dealt with far more than that.
I would question if is 3+ is enough. If you have the budget, I would go 5+ with your first legal hire since there would be no supervision.
Base needs to be 200K+, maybe closer to 250 for a more senior hire. You’ll need to give shares based on stage of the company, valuation and RSU value. For bonus, it’s all variable and negotiable.

agree 3 years is not sufficient you need 5+ preferable 7-8+ with corporate background as well as tech trans. for this person if you want them to be good 250+ with equity, bonus and severance
