Trying to prioritize home improvement projects for my condo. Is exposed brick really a draw/differentiator? I kind of hate the way it looks (exposed brick on one wall in interior staircase with no windows/natural light). Should I cover it up, or will that hurt resale value?

I would pay extra for exposed brick

like

I like it, I dunno what else to say 😂

What wash the brick if you’re looking to resell it soon. As it’s currently trendy. I guess it depends on how long you plan to stay and what the decor looks like around this wall.

like

Meant to say white wash*

What would you cover it with? Drywall?

like

That’s gorgeous. If anything I would just remove those stair tread stick ons

Do not cover the brick. This is highly coveted

I would call it a draw

It’s highly coveted and would probably devalue your home if you modify it, unless it is in very bad condition. So I would weigh how much it bothers you.

Only if it looks like the exposed brick is on purpose is it good. If it looks accidental, that's bad. And I'm sure you know how to differentiate.

My agency is opening up applications for a DE&I Committee leader for the first time. This person will be responsible for overhauling how the agency approaches diversity, including employee training, internships, new business model and client communications. However, the role is a voluntary one-year term with no extra pay or incentive. There is no budget for this person to be trained themselves. How are your companies handling new diversity leadership? How should I voice my concern?

Did anyone have an opportunity to make a career pivot but turned down the opportunity, and regretted later? Or was the absolute right decision? I have an opportunity to switch careers. I’m already in a good role (managing an analytics team at an established pre-ipo tech firm) and started here 5 months ago. But I’m wanting to try something else (product management). I got an offer from a startup to try out the role but am scared I might fail at the role or the startup (series A) will not do well
