Asking for my cousin... wanted to get some ideas from this group.
Cousin’s husband (bread winner for the family) got a brain stroke and collapsed. Thankfully alive but not in responsive state, recovery is months away. Cousin has no idea on family finances (bank accounts, shares that have liquid money). Phone passcodes, laptop passcodes are unknown too. He has deliberately kept these details away from her. Now what are her options, there are quite a few hospital expenses . <they are in India btw>

My wife and I have 2 children. We got married young and I have handled all expenses since marriage. I've even paid for some of her schooling and have encouraged her to continue finishing her Bachelors (she has difficulty choosing what to study and insinuated that when I mention the drawbacks of certain fields, it puts her off studying at all, she's also in student loan debt because her family took out loans in her name and never paid them off).

Long story short, now we have....

Anybody struggling with fellow associates in big law? Currently working with associates that will stab you in the back at all costs and don’t care about building friendships, etc. This environment is mentally draining and I feel like I am an outlier for being kind. I felt like a walking zombie during thanksgiving, barely eating and barely talking. My family is small and I told them ahead of time my relationship ended. I focused on my niece and nephews, cried when I wanted to and slept from 8pm-noon for the last 5 days. Showered once or twice. That’s the best I could do and that’s OK right now. I’m back in my apartment, just trying to take it one day at a time, and not re read his texts too much. My birthday is Thursday 🙄

My husband never reads and wants to start reading as a new hobby. What is a good book that you would recommend for a 40 year old man? Not self help books, but maybe something with action. I think he would like the Bourne series, but he saw all the movies so he's not interested, but something similar.

PSA for the day.
We don’t want to be single, yet we look for a lot of excuses to be this way.
Everyone has work. Everyone has life, everyone has their own circumstances. Make time, put the effort. One call doesn’t take 5 min.
One text doesn’t take 1 min.
One “I’ll be busy today so we can talk later” doesn’t take 1 min.
Put in the effort. It’s free.
