Currently a CTL in Bain and looking for opportunities in Europe. Wanted to check whether these make sense - 1) Senior Manager Group Strategy at Philips 2) Senior Manager, International Markets at Delivery Hero The comp being offered seems to be lower than CTL comp at Bain in Amsterdam/Berlin so not quite sure on how to negotiate. Would be good to get tips on the role/firm and whether there's a way to match the comp.

My situation & looking for yall’s opinions: We came into this country as immigrants last year and bought our first house with our savings (House was 410K , put down 100K down payment) in Dallas. But, we don’t have much in way of investments and only have 25K in savings + 15K in both of our checking accounts . We have a toddler and a new born baby. I was making $140K and contributing 7% to my 401K which puts me only at the 8K mark for this year. I’m 34 and felt so stupid after reading a lot of the smart decisions folks are making here. Given my unique situation and desire to play aggressive catchup and be more financially savvy especially for the sake of our kids; my wife (25 y/o) will start working next year (110K) and I got a second job (140K) to essentially double my income . Other than maxing out our 401K, What practical steps should we both start taking immediately to a) play catch up and starting building that wealth ; and b) to reduce our taxable income as much as possible since we’d be at ~ 400K household income next year?
