Do you have letters after your name? Clients (and therefore firms) want related professional credentials.

Thoughts on part-time check-the-box MBA? I’’ 32, and am on track for promotion to SM. I can’t justify doing a part-time MBA at a top school and taking on all the debt. An MBA has always been a goal of mine, and some state schools provide an affordable price tag but I’m not sure if it’s worth it at all if it’s not a top 20 school.

Bit of a unique situation. I think my offices FDD team is falling apart. Since covid, 1/1 partner resigned , 2/3 of SM quit, 2/2 managers quit. I’m a bit concerned with deal flow moving forward. What would you do in this situation? Should I try to jump to another firm? Maybe ask for a raise? Honestly I am getting pretty crispy mental health wise

Hey TSE fam, just successfully completed the sign to close phase of an acquisition. Great relationship built with senior manager as well as client. Will it be a positive or negative for when I’m up for promotion to manager next year? Thanks for your advice!

In a tough situation and need some advice. I’m an audit associate who got passed up for senior promotion this year, but senioring a busy season engagement. There is another senior that is supposed to be on the job, but he hasn’t been staffed on the engagement the past couple weeks and is off this week. I now have the full responsibility of this engagement on my hands and feel like it’s pretty unfair considering I got passed up for promotion and am not getting paid to be a senior. What do I do?
