Trying to reduce animal protein intake but maintain the protein without an influx of carbs. Anyone else have experience with this? I’m thinking vegan protein shakes are my only options. Any other ideas?

Lentils. Chickpeas. Beans. And actually contrast to popular belief u don’t need as much protein as previously thought. Watch game changers. When thinking carbs try sweet potatoes, brown rice, brown bread. These are all pretty good carb sources.

Greek yogurt is delicious! But also doesn’t sit well with my body.. neither does dairy (including cheese 😩). And I consider it as animal protein byproduct :(

My only issue is my carb allowance needs to hover around the 60g marker. 13g is already above 20% of my daily allowance but only giving me 8g of protein :( Nothing against beans! In fact, I LOVE chickpeas.. and lentils. Just trying to trim the fat and lay-off the water weight (carbs).

One important consideration — while black beans or lentils appear to be high in carbs, they’re high in fiber which is a carb that isn’t digestible. So black beans might have 20g of carbs but 7g of fiber, meaning their net carb value is only 13g which isn’t all that much. Most people forget to focus on the net carb not the all-up carb value.

I lift. And even as a female - getting in 125 g of protein a day on a vegan diet f’s up my macros and calories. I have to rely on shakes and I still eat egg whites.

There are amazing vegan bodybuilders and I’m not saying it can’t be done - it just isn’t practical for me

I don't know for sure that this is an ADHD thing but does anyone else get really irritated by small things or have trouble regulating their emotions? Me and my husband were planning to start trying to have a baby from next month. With this COViD-19 situation right now we are thinking of we should wait for few more months and see if the situation gets under control. Data related to CoViD -19 in pregnant women and new burns is very limited. Plus hospital visit during pregnancy and having family around to help out may be challenging if CoViD -19 lingers longer than expected. I am 34 and hubby is 37 body clock is ticking as well - tough decision.

On a team that literally shares every reason why they will be out for PTO or away from their computer for a couple hours during the day. I find this really strange. "Hey I have a doctors appointment at 10am be offline for a while." I am a practice manager and I work with two older doctors who either complain about everything from notes to schedules etc. and even with the amount of time and effort I’ve put into to address those concerns I.e. setting admin time, utilizing PA’s and NP’s managing schedules within the office- even had to sit next to a doctor to make sure he’s completing his notes during 30min admin time- they still manage to complain!
