A lot of people are on bench. I got rolled off my project today, not due to poor performance but due to budget and timeline issues. I'm an Analyst, joined Oct 2021. I'm worried. Will they terminate me if I'm on bench for long? Please give me honest suggestions. Has this happened before. Deloitte USI hired a lot of people and is unable to give them projects. Will I get terminated?
WFH or Bench/Beach time does not mean "set your status to busy, and check email twice a day"! What's is WRONG with some people!
Don’t understand why would a big 4 hire someone and not assign a project/client directly, instead have to go through the bench process and then wait to be assigned.
I wish every Sunday could feel like this. When you've just rolled off a project and in the pleasant shade of some beach time
Anyone know of any consultant roles in the DMV in the healthcare space? Asking for a friend whose been on the (unemployment) bench for some time.
First year with only one engagement under my belt and bench time to spare. Should I be worried? My practice just doesn't have work right now.

How long any one can stay on bench in EY GDS? What is the safe time to comeout from bench?
Is Gym bench allowed under well being subsidy?
If I tell Deloitte I'm leaving the firm while on the bench will they ask me to leave immediately?
Thinking about flipping over to Deloitte. The account I’m in absolutely despises Deloitte and it seems like you’re viewed as a traitor if you move over. But I’m so tired of not being recognized and taken seriously and my pay is just depressing compared to my peers. It’s been 6 years with BAH and the past couple yrs have been bleak with constant contract losses and currently on the bench. I see the job opportunities and I feel like I’m a strong fit for some of the roles in my area.
Do you say that you're on the...

Joined consulting to get a wide range of exp out of college. 1 year in and I’ve been on the bench half the time. I’m basically lying to recruiters about my 1 year of exp.. should’ve started in industy
Any tips for when you’re on bench? I’m a new grad just started 2 months ago and haven’t been on a project yet. I’m so bored and I’ve just been helping out senior managers and directors with proposal work.
First time on the bench since my onboarding. Perfect timing too. I'll have a drink or 10 for all you working the holidays
On a scale of 1-10 how bad is it if you get rolled off because the client hates you & your work? And how common is it?
People on the “bench” - how does that work? What do you do all day? Do you still get paid? Trying to understand this
Starting full time in about a month and a half, and now looking for a studio apt in Chicago. Any insights on neighborhoods/apts? Im currently looking at Oldtown, Rivernorth, Fulton Market areas
Any fish on here that currently putting in notice: how are your firms handling if you have personal possessions still in the office? I have a filing cabinet in my home office where I keep a spare pair of heels and cardigan. Obviously didn’t expect to get a new job during quarantine or I would have taken these items home. Have firms made exceptions for you to go in the office and grab these items? Or offer that you can come back in a few months and pick up the possessions?
HR left the chat 😂
Any recommendations for luggage brands for someone who travels a moderate amount? Not every week but a couple times a month. Airline broke my luggage handle this past week and the wheels were already not rolling very smoothly before that. I’m tired of buying luggage at dept stores that doesn’t last. Looking for something durable, lightweight, and would be a plus if it has a warranty.
Ready for Halloween.
I have a thought don’t know whether is right or wrong but expecting ur suggestions on it. I got an offer from an product based organisation and package is almost among the market standards YOE:8 Tech: Data engineer. Offered CTC: 40lpa. Current ctc: 19lpa. But my expectations was 32lpa. So I am satisfied with the offer and role. Now my question is do I still need to look for other opportunities or stick to this one.
Hi all! I have my biometrics appt coming up in New York ACS for my I-485 application. What actually happens during this appt? Also I received this Applicants Information Worksheet (AIW); do I need to complete this AIW in advanced or is it something I fill out while going through the AIW?

When do you know the relationship is over?
My mortgage banker called me to ask why I refinanced my mortgage after only 3 months of loan payments (I got a better rate elsewhere). He was angry; I think it might have impacted his team’s bonus. Did he have a reason to get mad or did I do nothing wrong?
If an intern says they’re not sure if they want to come back because the manager on their team yells when they’re upset, what do you say?
