Any EY EAs having any luck finding new roles in the firm? The new career portal is not very CBS friendly 🤷🏼♀️ I wonder how many of us are applying for the very small amount of openings that randomly pop up for a few days.
I’ve been at my job for 9 years. Haven’t had much experience in new technology as they didn’t want it in the company. I’m learning these technologies on my own. However, get turned down for interviews since I don’t have any actual years of experience.
How do I get past this hurdle in applying for more oracle DBA and similar roles?
How long is too long?
I’m at the end of a recruiting process that includes 5 interviews and a take-home assessment, all of which went well. That was 18 days ago. The HR rep was on vacation and came back 6 days ago. She told me she was going to meet with the CD to regroup 5 days ago. I still haven’t heard anything. Is this normal?
Lots of questions here but I’m sure this will help those prepping along with those looking for where to begin: How long did you prep/are you prepping for your case interviews? How did you start and in hindsight was there a better way? What was your favorite case prep resources, books, or courses? What was the least helpful resource that you wish you hadn’t wasted time on? How did you build up your business acumen and creativity? What is your weakest section of the interview currently?
Hi guys. I have 2 case interviews coming up for VP level at AlixPartners in Dubai. Any tips on how best to prepare and what type of cases to expect? Are they different to the MBB style cases? Thanks! AlixPartners
Hi 🐠 ! If I’m 100% new to casing (have a business degree but have been in audit for a year), how long do you recommend practicing case interviews to be strong at it? Is 6-8 weeks sufficient? Would likely be applying for analyst/associate roles. My friends in consulting keep reassuring me that it’s a learned skill but after watching my first case interview ngl I’m pretty intimidated 😅
I interviewed for a role last week and followed up with the recruiter this week. The recruiter said the team is still working on finishing the final interviews before making a decision but if I have any competing offers or timeline issues, I should let her know.
Does this mean that they already have a decision on my interview and are just waiting to send out the rejects all together or is there still hope?
Is there any downside to applying to a bunch (5 ish) roles at the same tech company? Do recruiters ding you for being open to a spectrum of things, particularly at the mid sized firms where there might be only a few people eyeing resumes.
Applying for secondments vs applying direct.
What are the pros and cons of applying via your home office or direct online application? Can you do both or does it go against you?
Hi fishes, Do we even have a chance to get a call if we are applying for jobs via LinkedIn? Or do resumes just get lost in a black hole?
What’s the best practice to follow to ensure a call from recruiters?
Any insight on Strategy& Singapore - WLB, Pay, Hours, type of projects etc. I am hoping to move back home one day. I’m curious to see what’s it like back at home or whether I should be applying elsewhere. Thanks!
Interviewing with potential employer for weeks now, have realized I dont want the job (not the right culture fit + didnt vibe with a sr person in interview). How do I tell them w/o seeming like a jerk
Is submitting job references obsolete?
I didn’t get asked one for my current role and it’s looking like I won’t for the one I’m interviewing for now.
To be fair, all anyone ever does is pick people they know will say really good things anyway. So maybe removing them just saves everyone time.
Can anyone share some interview tips for the senior consultant role (PPM) at EY.Thanks in advance
Can anyone anyone help with a salary range for a senior E&S UW. 5 years of experience. Interviewing but don’t want to sell short for my salary expectations.
Boston Consulting Group EY-Parthenon - Folks, Whats the BCG equivalent position for a EY-P Assistant Director/Associate Director? Is it a Principal or a Project Leader? What factors could drive this decision in an interview.
Would an second year in audit be able to transition to FDD or do they only want seniors?
Would would a senior product manager do over and beyond a product manager. We don’t have any seniors at my startup and I’m trying to figure out what I need to do/achieve to get promoted. Any advice would be much appreciated.
What’s the salary range right now for in-house senior paralegals and legal ops professionals? Negotiating a raise and finding it’s between $60k up to $140k depending on location and company. Zero consistency. Thanks!
Partners, how do you invest your money? Wife works in tech and pulls in as much as me, getting into good bonus money this year, between the two of us around $300k. Both of us max out our 401ks...

In a social chat the other day, a person in our group expressed strongly that people should be hired regardless of their legal status to work in any country, as long as they were in willing to work, and stated they were qualified for the job.
For context, everyone in that social outing was a migrant to the country, and the person expressing their view was from Mexico and while a minor crossed the US border illegally but left shortly before they were considered an adult.

Someone asked about revenue: It depends how many courses and labs you will use.
Example: A Training Academy is making $10,800 in three months 50 students. They use three courses and three lab systems for 1 year access.
I have switched to a new company recently. Though they have offered me good package I had to work daily for about 12hrs to get in touch with onshore functional team. This is happening daily.
Is it ok to switch again within 3 mnths to a new company?
If yes how much of hike I can expect.

Any jobs for mechanical engineer ready to join immediately with 3 years of experience as explosive safety engineer
Any sites out there anyone recommends for getting some freelance gigs? I've got a full-time job now but baby #2 is on the way. Thanks.
Lately, a lot of recruiters have been reaching out. I'm mostly happy in my role and w/my company (no longer w/Edelman), but one job caught my eye with a huge salary and title bump at a comparable company, culture and work wise. Interviews are going well - I'm torn about leaving - things are good now but some extra $$ for what seems like a similar experience seems like a no-brainer. Yet, I feel sad about potentially leaving my current company. Anyone have a similar experience? What happened?
Any Roland Berger peep that’s open for referring me for a junior consultant position in UAE. Would really appreciate it!
Anyone at CIBC willing to provide a referral ?
Better idea to mine and HODL ZEC or ZCL?

Can someone give me an idea of good places that hire entry level FDD in New England other than big4? Looking to potentially switch out of tax but don’t think transfer/other big4 is very plausible.
What firms do higher variable comp? I’m familiar with A&M’s model, but curious if there are others. Figure if I’m busting it, might as well get compensated for it.
Anyone going through IB interviews right? What questions are you asking interviewers? Feel like the typical ones are not going over well.
Is FDD comp higher than FAAS?
