Love - That's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru
It's kind of crucial for us to know the condition, mileage, and price of the car to answer....
No, used cars are for peasants
You still have to pay your states sales tax for cars. When you register the vehicle you will have to show the documentation. I live in NJ but I buy my cars in PA because the show rooms are bigger and I can see more. Still pay NJ taxes
It could be a really good deal. Maybe the flight was $200 and he's saving $2k compared to a similar vehicle where he lives
Unless it's a Maybach for like 3k I'm not flying anywhere for any car
There are people who fly to places with no sales tax (Portland) to buy a car. But idk why New York.
It might be a good deal, or the exact colors and options that he wants. I've flown lots of places to buy cars. It's fun.

You can pay less sales tax depending on how you go about it. If you buy a car in OK and register it there, then take it to TX and register it again say 3 months later, you avoid TX sales tax. You'd have to have an address in OK, and IDK if sales taxes are lower there...
You have to pay a "use tax" same as the difference in sales tax if you register new car in another state for less than 6 months
^I think certain every state has its own laws on this; and you could just revise my "3" to 7 and my statement would hold true. As someone who lives in the county's 4th largest MSA living within an hour of OK, I'm going to look into this.
It turns out it's virtually the same price in TX and OK (not worth the effort). Per google search and review of first result, New Hampshire is the cheapest place to buy a car. One of 4 states with no sales tax on 🚗 s
