Trying to understand the benefit of having an intern or other non registered person, cold calling. With all the restricitons placed on a non registered caller by the B/D, what could this accomplish?

If properly set up, it could be a very effective and cost effective way to qualify and refer leads to those who are registered and can close the deal.

It's a crap shoot. Depends on the intern. Just create a script that doesn't provide recommendations and have them be honest.

But is this legal?

I don't think so. They can set apt for clients. But prospecting I doubt your bd would alow.

How can we find out the real rules? People at insurance companies who don't have series 7 do cold Calls and I doubt they say in their call "I can only offer you insurance" so how does this work?
