Looking to move on from current role however bonus/pay review period in 6 months (base jump likely to be around 10%). Is it better to wait to get the bump then negotiate off that for next role or start looking for roles now and accept if can find a jump of 15-20%? (understand that it might be possible to negotiate sign on to compensate for missed bonus). Any generic rule of thumb / insights that have helped ppl? I’ve interviewed for several Director and VP roles over the last 6 months. I keep getting to the end only to either be ghosted or told the position is “postponed due to budget”. Even my own company wants me to sit a Director role another 24 months before promotion “because of budget”.

Is budget really the reason or am I doing something wrong? How do I finally get that promo? Been regional ops (13 states) for 15mo and Director slotted for 9 now.

Something that has really helped me lately has been creating dedicated time in the morning to consider things I'm grateful for, and also to write them in a journal. I know it could seem silly, but it has helped me shift my mindset throughout the day. Has anyone actually looked at the math, calculated, and compared a freelance day rate of about 1-1.2k, booked for whatever % of the year, versus a full time staff salary of say, 200k… at what numbers do they even out when you factor in taxes, health insurance, paid vaca time etc? Starting an IVF cycle shortly; and feeling very anxious. My period, which is usually within 25-28 days hasn’t started yet. It is 14 days late (and no, I am not pregnant :). My doctor had me patching 4 estrogen patches everyday for 10 days.
Has anyone else gone through this? Delayed period because of IVF stress? Or delayed period because of estrogen patches?
I don’t know what to make of all of this. Any help/ guidance would be great!

Hi, I’m 30yrs old and by next week I will be 31yrs old. Got married 2 yrs ago and we have been trying for kids from past 7 months but no luck, we try to have sex almost all 7 days of fertile window. I get my periods regularly, I don’t have thyroid nor PCOD. My Gyn did all test, and everything looks fine, my ovaries, Fallopian tubes , harmonies. Do I need to see fertility doctor ,if so, how is the best fertility doctor near Boston area. Need inputs for next steps before it’s too late 😒

My wife is 34 and just tested her AMH levels 0.83...she’s so upset at how low it is. While we wait for the antral follicle count, any perspectives from this group on how indicative AMH really is?

Has anyone here had a difficult recovery post-egg retrieval? It’s been 3 days and I’m still in a lot of pain. The medical team said I should expect to be uncomfortable for 5-7 days or more due to the high number of eggs retrieved (=very swollen ovaries) and it will take 2 weeks to get back to normal.

Took my first round of Clomid 50 mg this month and learned today that my progesterone levels are low and I likely I didn’t ovulate. I feel discouraged. Been ttc for 10 months now and I learned recently that Im not ovulating. I didnt think It would be hard getting pregnant as I had regular cycles before covid. Anyone had luck ovulating and conceiving with an increased dosage of clomid? Looking for encouragement and success stories to lift my spirits

How do people stay focused and engaged at work when dealing with TTC struggles? It’s weighing on me emotionally and the work doesn’t stop. I find myself getting super annoyed and resentful towards work stress bc I’m dealing with health stuff also.

How much time in advance did you order your IVF drugs from a mail-in pharmacy (e.g. CVS caremark)? Should I wait until I get my period to order them to make sure I'm not already pregnant or buy them in advance? Waiting for the results of my IUI, but will move directly to IVF if it doesn't work.
